Mikita checks into our rankings as a top three linebacker and just inside the top fifteen overall and does tons of damage from the backfield as well. He stars on both sides of the ball for Eagle but should fit nicely on defense in college and is very athletic and twitchy, excels at making plays outside the tackles in space and has closing speed and excellent open field tackling abilities while packing a punch at the point of attack. He flows well to the ball, takes proper angles in space and can quickly knife into the backfield or come up and set the edge. He is a plus athlete with speed, range and change of direction/hip fluidity in coverage and will fit nicely at the second level in college.

Mikita is one of the top returning tacklers in this rising senior class and is a very athletic and fast linebacker that can play sideline to sideline and make plays outside the tackles and cover downfield. He triggers quickly, shows he can scrape over the top, knife into the backfield and rush the passer and is a high IQ kid that is always looking to create turnovers and around the ball. He can play either inside or outside linebacker that has the ideal fluidity, cover abilities/change of direction for the college level and should start drawing plenty of next level D2+ interest over this off-season and through his final campaign for Eagle.

Mikita is one of the better linebackers in the 2027 class across Idaho and is a true blend of both a cover guy and run stopper on the perimeter. He excells at tackling and taking the proper angles in the open field, brings a nice thump at contact when knifing behind the line and brings a good punch at the POA. He is a very high IQ player that can come up and set the edge, get off blocks in space and provide a pass rush off the edge if need with quick hands against bigger tackles and natural bend/first step get-off. In coverage he is fluid in transition and breaks quickly to the bal while able to jump routes and bait quarterbacks into poor throws over the middle or outside the hashes.

Mikita is another back that has a vast tool belt but really does an excellent job picking up the tough yards in between the tackles. He has great contact balance and really does an excellent job maintaining a forward lean when running. He might be one of the best blocking backs in the class with his ability to pick up the blitz and with one of the best backs in the state in front of him, he might not get enough credit for how talented he really is.

Mikita checks into our updated 2027 rankings as a top 5 running back and just outside the top 20 overall, and is a candidate to move up in future updates as well. He shows a good burst through the first level, natural forward lean and leg drive through contact while able to bounce off tacklers in the hole and flashes plus vision in tight windows with cutback abilities in traffic. He is also a natural pass catcher out of the backfield that gets vertical quickly and can make off-platform plays with body control and tracking abilities. He should be a big part of the Eagle offense in 2025 and is part of a long line of Eagle greats in recent years.
