Ustun, had an outstanding game in the receiving category for the Lions. The Senior picked up two touchdowns and over 100 yards throughout the game for Monsignor Farrell.
Ustun has exceptional speed, and it was on full display against Iona Prep. The Senior displayed a good IQ, and I like his ability in space, as he was able to make catches. He has good hands, and racked in two good balls for touchdowns. His route running was solid, as he showcased a good use of routes to his disposal. I like what I saw from the Senior against Iona Prep.

Ustun was a player we saw have a major impact in Week 1 against CBA-Albany. His presence was felt throughout the game at WR, and he made multiple catches for the Lions.
Ustun displayed outstanding speed, and good route running. His hands made catches look smooth, and his footwork, and shows great energy on the sidelines.

Ustun is one of the most dynamic players you’ll see in the AAA division this season. He was an excellent receiver and defensive back for the Lions last season. His ball skills are incredible—Ustun’s ability to go up and get it is so impressive. He won plenty of 50/50 balls and made impressive catches in traffic. His coverage and tackling skills were also phenomenal, as he was consistently making big plays on defense.

Ustun was a player I did not know about until he took the WR1 responsibilities early in the season for Monsignor Farrell. Farrell had a few injuries to skill players early on, and Ustun was a big reason the offense could move the ball through the air against out-of-state Bishop Hendrickson.
Ustun shows some solid route running on tape, but his catch radius and ability to make tough catches in coverage down the field stood out. I was a fan of his movement ability and athleticism in person. Ustun runs a good wheel route with some deception as if he is blocking, both a skill and bred from good coaching happened twice live and a few more on tape. He stood out more as a WR to me live, but I think he has some solid DB reps on tape as well – a recruitable prospect on either side of the ball.
