Tavares played JV for Monsignor Martin as a Freshman, and with the graduation of Kevin Gumb Jr, a new star RB will be needed for the Lions. Standing at 5’11” 170-Pounds, Tavares displays a solid build for a RB, and can look to continue filling out his frame as he grows. I see him at 6’1″ 200-Pounds.
Tavares was electric as a returner this season for the Lions, and displayed outstanding speed, along with good footwork. Tavares was used across the field, including reps, as a Safety and a RB. Tavares can play on both sides of the ball, and displays good footwork, a high IQ, and the ability to make sharp cuts.
