Ba was a key part on the Monsignor Farrell Defense that almost won the CHSFL last season. The talented DL prospect is yet to pick up an offer but with his grade and ranking increase, I see no reason as to why he should pick one up soon. He is primed for a big season with the Lions, and I can’t wait to watch him play. At 6’2″ 245-Pounds, he showcases a strong frame for a Defensive Lineman. He has good strength and on his tape we see a lot of use with his hands, including different placements and different types of moves. This makes him a tricky Lineman to stop due to his constant chasing of pass rush. He is an excellent tackler as well and can wrap up nicely using his strong and big frame to bring down RB’s in the run game. Block shedding is where he can get some more reps in, but I like his skillset as a DL, and he is easily one of the most underrated playmakers I see in the Catholic League for this upcoming season.
The same goes on the defensive side of the ball for Alpha BaAlphaBa

. A younger group will be joining him on the defensive side of the ball, and the talented 6’2″ 245-Pound DL prospect, shows elite strength, and has the ability to dominate the LOS. He is a player I enjoyed watching last season, and he will once again have a major impact for Monsignor Farrell.
Ba had a solid varsity debut last season in a league that is very difficult for Freshman to make an impact on the defensive line. There are some clear physical traits you see on film, like his length and overall body type. Ba plays as a defensive tackle for Farrell, partly because of his skillset and the talent that Farrell had last season at the EDGE position but he is a player who could develop into a 5-tech or is he gets big enough a 3-tech at the next level.
Ba plays with really good leverage and shows some explosiveness out of his stance. He flashes some solid knockback at the point of attack with strong hands, plays with a solid motor, and is always moving his feet.
One of the top 2027 prospects in New York City. As just a freshman, Ba put himself on the map by competing against some excellent older linemen in the AAA division and he did very well. He started playing defensive line midway through last season and he thrived. Ba is expected to be a crucial part of this Farrell defense when it comes to owning the middle. Ba has gotten stronger and more explosive this offseason, look for him to make a splash during his sophomore campaign with the Lions.
