The 6’2”, 175-pound edge rusher recently earned his first reported offer from Temple, and it likely won’t be his last. Right now, he’s winning off pure athleticism. He has a long frame, explosive burst, and natural playmaking ability. His tape shows a player who split time between the freshman and JV levels but flashed serious potential.

McClain is still raw, but the upside is obvious. He could become a dominant force once he refines his technique—keeping his pads low, using his hands more effectively, and sharpening his pass-rush moves. He’s already a problem in the run game and has the athletic traits to develop into a disruptive pass rusher. Temple sees the long-term vision with him, and as he polishes his game, expect more schools to follow suit.

Whether it be KJ, Jaylen, the late Xavier, or an old school throwback Shawn – whether they are family or not they all carry a surname that carries weight across Jersey. Cannot wait to see if the youngest McClain we are introduced to can hold his water when compared to the others.

Seton Hall Prep is a program on the rise in New Jersey and they’re getting a big time athlete next year, in Cameron McClain Cameron McClain 6'0" | 175 lbs | LB Seton Hall Prep | 2028 NJ . I have not seen him play live in over a year, but he left a lasting impression on me. Incredible length and range as a linebacker. Depending on how he grows and develops, could very easily see him playing safety like his older brother. On the pre-high school level, he’s easily one of the top 5-10 kids in the state.
