In the OK-Conference, we have six games that I am highly interested in. These games should be awesome, and they will heavily effect playoff points and league standings!
(0-2) Fruitport vs. (2-0) Hamilton
This is going to be a fun one! I’m honestly not used to seeing Hamilton at 2-0 and Fruitport at 0-2, but this game could put Hamilton back on the map in the OK-Blue. For Fruitport, Richard Wiggins IV Richard Wiggins IV 5'8" | 225 lbs | DL Fruitport | 2024 State MI is a great 2-way player who I’m excited to watch film of sometime this year. As for Hamilton, I’m not too familiar with this team. I’m just truly looking forward to seeing who comes out on top here!
(1-1) Unity Christian vs. (2-0) Spring Lake
Both of these teams have been on a high rise in the past year. Unity Chrisitan seems to be back, or at least almost back. Jake Chapman Jake Chapman 6'6" | 205 lbs | TE Unity Christian | 2025 MI is a super intriguing prospect at a super tall 6’6″ 205. Other high-risers such as Isaiah Meyers and Nolan Vis Nolan Vis 5'11" | 205 lbs | ATH Unity Christian | 2025 State MI should make some plays. As for Spring Lake, I love what they’ve been able to do so far. Reid Grimmer Reid Grimmer 6'4" | 175 lbs | QB Spring Lake | 2025 State MI is a good young QB with a ton of potential. Carson Hein Carson Hein 6'2" | 295 lbs | OL Spring Lake | 2025 State MI is one of the best linemen in the OK-Blue, and they have several other players on the rise. I’d give UC the edge in this one, but it should still be fun!
(2-0) Reeths-Puffer @ (1-1) Mona Shores
I’m planning on attending this game! RP is a team that’s been on the rise for a minute now, and Mona Shores is a solidified west side powerhouse. It’s always great seeing QB Jonathan Pittman Jonathan Pittman 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Mona Shores | 2025 State MI , and I am looking forward to seeing how he performs. Shores has several other players, namely LB Andrew Baker Andrew Baker 6'1" | 205 lbs | LB Mona Shores | 2024 State MI and DB O’Mari Hall-Brown who I’m looking forward to seeing. The RP side has several great seniors worth watching, namely Brody Johnson Brody Johnson 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB RP | 2024 State MI , Bryce Ross Bryce Ross 5'9" | 175 lbs | DB Reeths-Puffer | 2024 State MI , and Caiden Bolduc Caiden Bolduc 6'0" | 190 lbs | LB RP | 2024 State MI .
(1-1) East Kentwood vs. (2-0) Hudsonville
Both of these teams could be great playoff teams. Hudsonville has a few great players such as LB Ethan Carter Ethan Carter 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Hudsonville | 2025 AL and WR Carson Dykstra Carson Dykstra 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Hudsonville | 2025 State MI who are experienced and ready to make plays. The East Kentwood side is even more talented on paper, with players like Elisee Kanda Elisee Kanda 6'0" | 200 lbs | DB East Kentwood | 2024 State MI , Stellan Bowman Stellan Bowman 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB East Kentwood | 2024 State MI , and Casey Joppie Casey Joppie 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB East Kentwood | 2024 State MI .
(2-0) Forest Hills Northern @ (2-0) Byron Center
The OK-White is quite interesting this season. Byron Center has always been an under the radar team maybe without the high-tier college talent but they are one of the more disciplined and unselfish teams in the state. Landon Tungate Landon Tungate 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Byron Center | 2025 State MI seems like the real deal, while plenty of other players should be great. Northern has DT Zachary Kelly Zachary Kelly 6'0" | 260 lbs | DL Forest Hills Northern | 2024 State MI who I found when he was a rising sophomore. In addition to other great linemen like Eli Macaulay and Isaiah Robinson.
(2-0) Lowell @ (2-0) East Grand Rapids
This is another one of the biggest games of the week. Both Lowell and EGR are teams with great football history, but have had a low point these past few years. Now, these two teams look like they could be in for a meteoric rise once again. Lowell seems great in the trenches. Guard Alex Winter and T Tyler White Tyler White 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Lowell | 2025 State MI are both maulers in the run game, while QB Jackson Reisberg seemed good in the offseason. EGR on the other hand has several great young pieces. The line has huge guys like the 6’5″ T Jacob Krause Jacob Krause 6'5" | 255 lbs | OL East Grand Rapids | 2024 State MI , 6’2″ G George Beckner, and 6’7″ T Jacob Tietema Jacob Tietema 6'7" | 225 lbs | OL East Grand Rapids | 2025 MI . They also seemed to have a well-repped defense when I watched some 7on7 work.
