I said it in a recent article, but the more I watch Reid, the more I like him as a prospect. My first memory of watching Reid was at last summer’s Hope 7on7 tournament. I remember being impressed as he led Spring Lake to a 7on7 win against Mona Shores. His film shows great throw power downfield but, more importantly, some amazing touch and accuracy on some of his throws. I could easily see Reid get some offers this offseason, and I think he deserves it.

Ried has grown on me a LOT since I first saw him last summer. He has above-average accuracy, and excels making plays when the pocket breaks down. I think he’s a fringe Division 2 prospect as of right now.

Spring Lake is off to a fantastic start, and a lot of that comes down to the QB position. He has taken a clear step up and has led a solid offensive attack to a 3-0 start. His highlights to me stick out as a clear sign of the hard work he has put in. His arm strength has improved, he’s much more comfortable in the pocket, and also showing a good ability to get things done on the ground when the situation arises. Reid is someone who has been on my radar for awhile now, and I truly believe he is going to be a Saturday guy, and this season he is really starting to show his true potential. His Hudl has a few good clips from weeks 1-3 showing some impressive talent: http://www.hudl.com/v/2LgyJp
