Expert Analysis
Bryan Ault | Prep Redzone Scout
In a 21-13 victory over Valparaiso, Hall shined with a solid stat line: he was 11/17 for 233 yards and two touchdowns through the air. One of those touchdowns was a 64-yard catch-and-run, and he throws with strong velocity over the middle of the field. The offense as a whole had 346 total yards with no turnovers. Although he is more of a pocket passer, he can elude rushers and buy time with his legs. Keep an eye on this young junior quarterback as he looks to return Penn to state title contention.

Just mere minutes north of the Indiana border,

is the hidden gem of all hidden gems in this state. In his 10 games in 2024, Hall put up 2,323 yards and notched 19 touchdown passes. Hall is a top 5 QB in this class despite being under-recruited. D1 schools should be on notice.
First of all, he has all of the measurables. He’s able to stand in the pocket and distribute the ball efficiently. His arm strength is good and his decision making is far beyond most high school quarterbacks. He makes back shoulder throws, deep balls, slants and comebacks all look incredibly easy. Short, intermediate and deep throws are all well within his wheelhouse. A true gem that should have a real shot at the D1 level.

There are a number of very good QBs in the Class of 2027, and few of them have really solidified themselves as the best. Landon is one of those in the running, and he has great size for a pro-style QB.
Size is one thing, but on-field performance is another. Landon had a phenomenal Sophomore season with some of the best highlights of anyone in the class. The highlight at 0:12 (pinned on his Twitter) shows a phenomenal back-shoulder throw in the red zone. Practically every other high school QB would have just thrown a fade there, but Landon actually has the precision to throw it toward the pileon- where the DB has no chance of making a play. Just watch the rest of his tape. If Landon doesn’t earn any D1 offers in the coming months, then he’ll be a GLIAC prosepct. Still, his highlights show D1 talent.

Landon’s tape remains very good, and I’m extremely curious to see if he earns any offers this offseason. For whatever reason, I’m having a lot of trouble viewing his Sophomore season highlights, but he has good individual game highlights. As always, Landon has consistent mechanics, decent zip on the ball, and can execute some high-level throws. I’m especially impressed with his ability to throw with great timing to the sidelines.

Landon’s film from this season was quite impressive. The very first thing I noticed was how well he was able to decipher where the ball needs to be placed. Whether it be leading a receiver, stopping the receiver from running into coverage in zone, back shoulder, over the top, it seemed Landon was able to see what needed to happen and had the arm talent to make it happen.
Landon has a nice base, good footwork and does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield. He has the athletic ability to escape a bit when needed, step up or get outside and still keep an eye downfield and he has no issue delivering accurate throws on the run. I would love to see Landon get out and ball in front of coaches and scouts because I have really high hopes for what he can develop into.

Landon is a super, super interesting QB prospect. He’s a pure pro-style guy with very consistent fundamentals. On top of that, Landon constantly demonstrates great anticipation and connection with his receivers. His film is great, he’s always working hard in the offseason, but I honestly need to watch a few full games on tape to get a full evaluation.
Just going off of his tape, Landon looks like a fringe D1 prospect. I rarely see QBs with the high-level highlights of Landon. Few QB have consistent mechanics, and fewer QBs show any ounce of anticipation in their throws.
I’m looking forward to further evaluating Landon in the near future!

Despite his efforts, Landon hall is still a well-kept secret in Southwest Michigan. But I’ll tell you what- he can’t be ignored for much longer.
Landon is one of those prospects who seems to have a ton of natural talent. A lot of that talent led him to a 2,387-yard, 65% passing Freshman season. Moving forward, it’s his seemingly great work ethic that’s going to make sure he cuts through the noise of a crowded quarterback market. If you watch his tape, what’ll immediately stand out to you is Landon’s quick release and overall great arm talent. Landon sports a quick, but consistent throwing motion, and he has the mechanics + arm strength to rifle the ball downfield with relative ease. In addition, he seems to have a far better understanding of timing than most QBs, leading me to believe he has excellent IQ. There’s a reason why Landon is ranked so high, and that’s because he’s a Division 1 prospect in my opinion.

‘s Sophomore season. I’ve very rarely seen a QB as polished as Landon as a freshman. Last season’s highlights showed a strong fundamental foundation in addition to great throw power and timing. His timing on out routes are especially impressive, as that’s a route that most High School QBs greatly struggle with. Lastly, Landon does a great job standing strong in the pocket until he’s forced out. Once he’s forced out of the pocket, Landon does a great job keeping his eyes downfield while evading pressure. As long as Landon keeps improving, his upward trajectory will result in GLIAC opportunities at the very least.

is another pro-style quarterback who’s already way ahead of the curve and could end up being a special player. He has a great fundamental foundation. Feet and throwing motion can undergo minor improvements but overall he looks good. Accuracy is good. Solid timing on out routes. He’ll be a QB to keep a very close eye on.

Landon appears to be really technical. He has a natural throwing motion and good footwork, has the measurables and arm strength to be a physically imposing player so far. It will be interesting to see how it translates this season. He has no fear stepping into a throw even with a pass rusher coming up the middle which is a huge plus already. With continuous work, I would not be shocked to see him surprise plenty of folks.
