is finally landing some much-deserve doffers. Hurley picked up offers from Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Miami-Ohio and Illinois State, all over the past month. He had a breakout junior season, recording 50 catches for 1,048 yards and 12 total touchdowns. Hurley has great long speed, wins one-on-one battles, and is a great route runner who can create separation on his own on the perimeter.

Hurley is a WR who is a bit ahead of schedule with his development, but that’s not slowing him down. He’s got a fantastic build and has the length to go over the top of any defender. 6’2″ and 210lbs as a freshman WR is a good sign of things to come. He ran a 4.9 40-yard dash, so he’s got some speed with that frame as well. He has no issue tracking the ball over his shoulder and bringing in those types of catches. He broke onto the field as a freshman and put up some promising tape and numbers. Hurley is testing well, already on Varsity, and checks a bunch of boxes for a young WR to watch moving forward.

Hurley may have one of my favorite “Welcome To Varsity” moments I’ve seen in quite a long time. His first career Varsity reception was a deep shot where he caught the ball through traffic, stayed up, and turned on the jets for a 70-yard TD reception. He finished that game with 7 catches, 160 yards, and 3 TDs. He did nothing but continue to improve throughout the season and with his frame and size, there’s no telling where he could end up. He’s incredibly nimble and versatile so he’s a prime candidate to blow up in the coming years.
