This group is loaded with a ton of young and promising prospects from all three divisions. Read about these game changers below
QB’s
The three year starter for Monsignor Farrell is looking to have a big senior season. He is one of the most experienced and mature quarterbacks in this league. Pinto will take the next step during his senior year and he has a good supporting cast including star receiver Nick Souffrin Nick Souffrin 6’1″ | 190 lbs | WR Monsignor Farrell | 2024 State NY . He’ll be an exciting player this season in a revamped Farrell offense
This Fordham team returns a ton of talent and Matt Moorehead is the leader for the Rams. Despite not playing every single game, he was still one of the top quarterbacks in New York City. Moorehead’s ball placement easily has him as one of the top pocket passers in this league. He is a smooth passer who will be one of the most accurate QB’s that we will see in the AA-1 division
One of the top quarterbacks in New York City. Pearson burst onto the scene with a magical junior season leading Mount St Michael to a championship game appearance. He threw for 1.200 yards which included some incredible passes on the run. The Bronx native also was a threat with his legs, as he registered 10 rushing TD’s. He will be the best player in the AA-2 division this upcoming season
RB’s
Another explosive and productive running back in this Stepinac offense, Robinson will look to have another great year. He is a very tough in between the tackles running back that consistently got yards against some of the best defenses in New York. You can look out for Robinson to be moving the chains a lot this upcoming season. He will be effective in the open field and in goal line situations this season
Highlights
The bruising running back from Xavier is built to have a special season. He’ll be getting a huge workload in the old school run heavy offense Xavier has. Last year their running game was potent and now with Merah leading the attack it will be dangerous. He runs through tackles and gets a ton of yards after contact. He’s the type of running back to wear down defenses and string a ton of first downs together
Highlights
The youngster from Iona Prep has the makings of the next elite running back from Westchester. He made a solid impact on varsity just as a freshman at the RB position. Already has good size at 5 ’10 and 190 pounds, Pressley had good vision and wasn’t afraid to get physical. I could see him having a breakout sophomore year and he is certainly one of the top 2026 prospects in the state.
Highlights
WR’s
The lanky receiver has some of the most potential in the state. Charlton at 6’5 can move really well and he was a matchup problem all summer long. Now with more experience and athleticism, we could see Charlton having a special senior season. The redzone will be Charlton’s office and jump balls will be where he excels
The recently named capitan for Iona Prep will play a big role in this explosive offense. Last year Iorgoveanu was a great slot receiver and made difficult plays over the middle. He has good hands and this year he will be more relied on and will become a reception machine. He plays with a lot of toughness and he’s a good candidate for a ton of catches through contact this upcoming season. Iorgoveanu will make a ton of plays, especially after Iona graduated their top receiving options from a year ago.
One of the top 2025 WR’s in the state. Jones made a statement at the Stony Brook 7v7 tournament after posting several special performances. His route running has risen to a high level and he showed how great his hands were. He’ll have a much bigger responsibility his junior year and he will rack up a ton of catches. I’m expecting Jones to make a huge splash this upcoming year.
Highlights
One of the most dynamic athletes in all of New York City. Glaudin was exceptional when it came to making plays after the catch. He is easily one of the most shifty players in the open field and was able to make tacklers look silly. Glaudin is also a great route runner, he creates separation with ease due to his acceleration and change of direction. This year Holy Cross will get him out into space and Glaudin will make plays.
Pound for pound one of the strongest players in the league and the new wide receiver should have a big impact for the Friars. Hart had a great summer and was always one of the most consistent receivers during the camp circuit. He came away with a lot of tough catches during all of those camps. The Friars have always been known for having good blocking receivers and Hart should be able to fit that mold this upcoming season.
TE
One of the most versatile athletes in New York. Monsignor Farrell’s top 2025 prospect can do a little bit of everything. On offense he was an incredible blocking tight end/fullback. He paved holes for a successful power run game. But at 6’2 and 215 pounds, Clarke can move. He showed that he can be a good receiving option and make plays after the catch. And with all this being said, he is excellent on the defensive line for the Lions with the ability to play linebacker.
OL
A breakout junior year is in store for the talented offensive lineman. This past offseason McGregor made a serious argument for having the best footwork out of any offensive lineman in the entire catholic league. And now with varsity experience, McGregor will take a leadership role and have a great season with a tremendous offensive line unit.
Highlights
The leader for Chaminade up front is easily one of the top offensive lineman on Long Island. Expect him to be one of the strongest lineman in this league and he’ll dominate in run blocking and will pave holes consistently for a Chaminade offense that will lean on running back Jack Tully
The top overall player for Christ The King and he’s a prospect with an extremely high ceiling. At 6 foot 7 and over 300 pounds, Hudson moves very well for his size. His length and lateral quickness helped him have a successful junior season. With some added strength to his frame, we could see him have a monster junior year.
One of the captains for Iona Prep and a leader for a great offensive line. Last year he proved that he was one of the top interior offensive lineman in the entire league. He had great hands and technique. He followed up his junior campaign with a big summer. Pauletti was a mauler at the downstate classic, and he continuously proves that he can thrive against elite defensive lineman
Highlights
Another solid returning starter for the Friars. Novelli was excellent at the tackle position last year and was great in pass protection. His lower body strength was on full display and everyone should be excited for his senior season. Novelli moves very well and plays much bigger than he is when it comes to physicality
Highlights
I can’t remember the last time Chaminade pulled up a sophomore lineman, it has to be at least 20 years and that says a lot about Catoggio and what he brings to the table. Last year he went against elite senior defensive lineman week in and week out and he did very well. And this past summer he strung together a bunch of successful showcases and I’m a believer that we will see a huge junior season from the athletic guard.
