Mason Salmons Mason Salmons 5'10" | 165 lbs | QB Corbin | 2027 State KY is a strong-armed, athletic quarterback who is in store for a big-time senior season this fall. Salmons finished the 2025 season with nearly 3,000 yards of total offense as a dual-threat quarterback. He ended the year with 38 combined touchdowns, including 30 through the air compared to just two interceptions. On the field, he’s a good decision-maker who gets the ball out quickly, has good footwork, and fits balls into tight windows. Salmons’ arm strength is on full display, with an impressive deep ball that demonstrates his accuracy down the field.

Salmons surprised a lot of coaches on hand with how big his arm is for his size. He’s twitchy and undersized but he played fast and confident throughout the day.

I thought 2027 Cabell Midland quarterback Mason Salmons Mason Salmons 5'10" | 165 lbs | QB Corbin | 2027 State KY popped on his freshman highlight tape and could be in contention to be the varsity QB1 in 2024. Salmons is the son of Cabell Midland head coach Luke Salmons, and you can tell from watching his film that he’s a coach’s son from his level of development. He has a live arm that can stretch the field and throws a pretty and accurate deep ball. Salmons does a great job of leading his receivers and hitting them in stride while showing a big arm. He throws an accurate ball from a variety of angles and platforms while on the move. Salmons showed playmaking ability with his legs as well and can beat you with his legs if you lose contain. If he can continue to get bigger I think he’s one of the higher-ceiling 2027 quarterbacks that we’ve been able to evaluate to this point.
