Gough has taken gameday visits to UNLV and Utah Tech in recent weeks. The 6’2″/285 C has continued to be a strong anchor as a returning starter for the Desert Pines OL unit this season. He makes good use of his hands along the interior and has shown some ability to get out in front and pick up blocks in space. Gough’s waiting on his first offer but continues to generate promising interest. #6-Desert Pines travels to #3-Coronado for their first-round matchup in the 5A D-I state playoffs this Friday.

Gough has settled into his C position after filling in at multiple positions on the OL as a junior. He possesses useful length to his 6’3″/285 frame and can stick to his blocks when engaging defenders. He works well with the OGs on double-teams and combos, shows good mobility climbing to the second level, and drives his feet through the finish. Gough is one of the top unoffered senior OL in Vegas- he took a gameday visit to UNLV in late September.

Gabe Gough had a fantastic junior year that resulted in being named Desert Pines’ Offensive MVP. He has visited Fresno State in the past, so don’t be surprised when more schools in the region invite Gabe to campus. Gabe shows a good combination of quickness and power gaining leverage on second level defenders in space. Good patience, flexibility, and a strong anchor gets displayed stoning power rushers in pass protection. Gabe’s combination of size, strength, instincts, and athleticism gives him the ability to play multiple iOL positions in college.
