This group of prospects are not unknowns either, especially on this platform, but it’s always good to keep up with the studs that exist in Western Pennsylvania. In the 2025 class, I will continue to cover both offered and unoffered talent that I believe are college-bound prospects. Every one of these specific student-athletes has received at least one FBS offer to date.
- Kenny Lewis IV Kenny Lewis IV 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Gateway | 2025 State PA
Henry is a top-notch blocking TE with prototypical size and strength that will be an asset on the D1 level. He’s good on special teams showing good speed and agility for his size. On defense, he’s got a decent motor and redirects well in pursuit. He showed impressive maneuverability on his TD catch on film. His run blocking is effective because of his low pad level, leverage, and raw power that’s generated. He’s a weapon in the middle of the field, a big-framed prospect that could make a difference in the passing game. He’s got one FBS offer from Miami, OH, and multiple schools are showing interest in him.
Highlights
Kenny Lewis is an impressive athlete with savvy skills. He maintains a controlled tempo in his backpedal and is good at press-man coverage. His low stance helps him avoid overextending when breaking on the football, and he displays man coverage ability with special ball skills both as a wide receiver on offense and defense, contesting passes. He has also shown fluid hips and speed executing the cover 3 bail technique. He‘s a dangerous returner with impressive shiftiness and balance, making him difficult to catch once he turns the corner. When he’s in the slot, he’s savvy and crafty vs re-routers on the seams, making him a significant threat in the middle of the field. He is physical for his size and does a good job of coming up to assist in the run game. Currently, he has an offer from UNLV, but his skill set and explosiveness are only going to improve. I think MAC, AAC and the local programs Pitt, PSU and WVU should get him in front of them this summer.
Semaj is going to grow into an athletic 3-technique. He’s explosive off the ball and has good hand violence, keeping offensive lineman away from his body frame. The strength and speed in his get off allow him to make TFL‘s consistently. His physicality mixed with his motor and redirecting skills pursuing the ball make him a problem on the interior Dline. He’s physically intimidating and causes big collisions when he hits someone. Right now he’s 6’3 250 and he’s sure to add good bulk between now and when it’s time to go to college. His natural attributes are also adequate for center and OG on the next level. He currently has 3 D1 offers from Rutgers, Miami Oh and Akron, but I think other MAC programs and local bluebloods Pitt, WVU & PSU should take notice.
Xxavier comes from a family with an NFL pedigree, as his older brother Rodney Thomas plays for the Indianapolis Colts as a defensive back. X displays a willingness to make tackles and sound technique on keeping a low stance while playing. He has good body control and doesn’t overextend himself while breaking on the ball. When transitioning from a pedal to running alongside a WR, he does it smoothly. He is a competitor when in a one-on-one situation and has gained valuable experience in his position, despite having 2 seasons remaining. He has one FBS offer from Akron, but his pedigree and game experience should make him a prospect worthy of more opportunities.
Bradley’s experience playing basketball has helped him with mobility, particularly given his impressive 6’5 frame. With a sizable build, he’s been clocked at 4.5 and exhibits good body control when running routes. He possesses strong hands and impressive ball skills snagging passes. In a game against Bethel Park, Gompers displayed his defensive prowess, showcasing solid play recognition and anticipation, resulting in a pick-six. The two big-bodied FBS wide receivers from Pittsburgh Central Catholic, Peter Gonzalez Peter Gonzalez 6’3″ | 200 lbs | WR Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2024 State PA and Bradley Gompers Bradley Gompers 6’5″ | 205 lbs | LB Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2025 State PA , will present matchup problems for opposing teams, particularly in the red zone. He has one D1 offer from UNLV but programs in the MAC, AAC and P5s such as: Cincinnati, Maryland, WVU, PSU and Pitt should be alert.
