I turned on the tape and was introduced to Howard a month ago. He is a true ILB prospect, standing at a stout, strong 6’0 200. The intrigue here is set by his speed. He is a sub-11-second runner in the 100M, a really impressive mark for a player at his weight and with his body type. As you could expect, he has plenty of range, but he is strong enough to control the point and thump in the gaps as well. Just a well-rounded player with his blend of speed and strength, and he is firmly on the FBS radar already as a result.

An Atlanta-area EDGE defender who can create havoc right off the snap, Howard may not have ideal measurables, but he plays fast and really stood out last year on an extremely talented Douglas County defense. He shows good burst off the snap, plays hard, and is one of the hardest-hitting defenders on the team. As a sophomore last season, Howard quickly made his presence known with 37 tackles and a fumble recovery. He’s one of the top returning 2028 defenders in the region who is seeing his recruitment take off with recent offers from Cincinnati, Maryland, and Miami (OH). Look for more and more to come his way over time.

Howard has strong athletic indicators and popped onto my radar just a few weeks ago. He is a stout, strong LB prospect with a low center of gravity. Not much length, but he is just a ball of power and energy. He comes downhill hard and generates some pop at contact. He ran 10.9 in the 100M this spring, which is a really impressive time at 200 pounds, especially for a more condensed, muscled-up athlete. Howard has several FBS offers under his belt.
