Kalil Shemwell Kalil Shemwell 6'0" | 165 lbs | DB Owensboro | 2027 State KY is a player who caught my attention with a strong junior season. He lines up at corner where he is very reliable in coverage. Shemwell does a great job of reading routes then flowing through his zone accordingly to put himself in position to make a play. When the ball is thrown in his direction, he has shown strong ball skills, coming away with two interceptions in 15 games and returning one of them for a touchdown last season. He has also shown the ability to provide run support, recording 48 tackles as a junior. Shemwell also returned two punts for touchdowns and caught three passes for 52 yards last season. Kalil is committed to Illinois State where I can see him making an early impact in their secondary once he gets there.
