At the end of this season, we’ll announce our fourth annual Freshman Of The Year award. As of right now, the competition isn’t even close as Altus quarterback Jeymon Reed Jeymon Reed 6'3" | QB/ATH Altus | 2029 OK is running away with this award. He’s led the Bulldogs to a 5-0 start on the season and he’s putting up monster numbers on a weekly basis. Whether he’s using his arm or legs, he’s torching defenses and it doesn’t matter if he’s only playing a quarter and a half (like last week) or a full game. Reed has been incredibly productive and he’s lived up to all the offseason hype. Reed was a 2029 prospect that we really liked coming into his freshman season. We got the chance to watch him in person and also countless clips of his overall athletic ability and were sold he would be a good player. But he’s exceeded all preseason expectations. We’re looking forward to seeing how Reed handles the second half of the regular season against the tougher part of the Altus schedule.
