He is seen as a durable running back with good lower and upper body strength and a large frame. His 2024 season performances are giving rise to his recruitment potential. His speed is a special trait in film, as he has noticeable long strides at full speed. He plays physically and will come up hard when he identifies run. Desalvo will continue to draw high-level D1 college interest. He earned an early offer from Umass when he was in 8th grade. I recently viewed his 2024 2-game scrimmage highlight film and confirmed all the rope around his early season success. He is dynamic and plays with a very high motor on both sides of the ball. He has a smooth backpedal and is fluid. He can flip his hips instantly when needed. I've recently been informed that he is an under-radar prospect. A peak of his highlight film shows obvious speed and motor skills, and he has very good athleticism that pops. From what I'm hearing, he will likely be a strong candidate for a post-grad year. He is well-versed in zone and man coverages and can deliver a solid blow.
