Carter Gooden did everything he possibly could to help his team win that game. Carter picked up a handful of sacks and even had a play where he recovered the fumble and ran it down from Hamilton’s 20-yard line to Durham’s 20-yard line with the time being just over 1 min left. What I like about Carter is that you can tell he listens to his coaches as he did not really make an impact in the first quarter but when I watched the game again, he was playing a contain role very well. Carter’s pass rush just might be the best in the league, and it does not surprise me that he has 5 Division One offers. Carter Gooden is the next best lineman from Canada!

Carter Gooden, a transfer from Canada, will be a rising junior at Tabor Academy in fall 2024. His frame caught the attention of the coaches in attendance during the show day. He moved fluidly through drills and appeared confident executing all drills. He was observed using good technique, good footwork and leverage in the run game.

He is a C/O 2026 defensive lineman and will be a ranked prospect in the class of 2026 within New England when the updated rankings are published in July/August 2024. On May 13, 2024, just before his show day, he announced an offer from Boston College. On May 20, 2024, he announced an offer from the University of Connecticut. Both schools were in attendance on the show day.

He will not only bully you with his 6’4″ and 220-pound bull rush, but he will also be able to beat you with techniques such as the rip or swim move.
