Crean Lutheran tight end Braylen Ross Braylen Ross 6'3" | 190 lbs | TE Crean Lutheran | 2027 State CA announced his commitment to Arizona on Friday.

Ross spent his sophomore season at Helix and his junior season at Lincoln of San Diego prior to transferring to Crean Lutheran.

He also had offers from Arizona State, Cal, Kentucky and TCU among others. Ross is the second player from California in Arizona’s 2027 recruiting class and the second tight end.

As he continues to pack on weight and add to his frame, he should develop into a very balanced tight end prospect and is in line for a huge Junior season.

Ross picked up his seventh D-I offer from Cal in early May. The 6’3″/210 TE transferred to Lincoln this offseason after flashing his raw upside and athleticism at Helix over the past two years. He’s a versatile receiving weapon that can fit in as a TE or jumbo WR with the size, athleticism, and receiving skillset he brings to the table. Ross has added other offers from Kentucky, Utah St., and UAB since January.

Ross was beating guys on deep routes and shorter routes during the one-on-ones. He adjusts well to the ball while it’s in the air and has a big catch radius. Ross showed some burst late in the route and was a tough cover all day.

Ross was a new addition to the 2027 rankings watchlist after a busy offseason that included picking up his first three D-I offers from San Diego St., Arizona St., and Colorado St. The Helix sophomore is a high-upside athlete at 6’3″/190 that should be on the radar as a breakout candidate this fall. Depending on how Helix decides to ulitize his talents, Ross could develop into a major playmaker at WR, TE, or DE this season. He possesses great length, is a fluid mover, and shows great body control in 1v1s. Ross should find himself in the official 2027 rankings with a strong sophomore campaign.
