Leilua had 67 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble for Servite last and earned First Team All-Trinity League honors.
He’s a really good run defender who is always around the ball. Leilua has good lateral quickness and short-area speed. Pass coverage isn’t his strong suit but he looked comfortable patrolling the underneath routes at the Battle at the Beach tournament recently. He has 16 offers and 247Sports has him leanign towards Arizona State, USC or Washington.

Leilua takes over the number one spot in our initial 2027 linebacker rankings, and deservingly so. He holds an early offer from Arizona and was voted as an All-Trinity League selection in 2023. He is a elite athlete at the second level with good movement abilities, lateral quickness and cover abilities in space while a strong tackler in space with closing speed and takes good angles in the open field. He has a good feel for sniffing out plays and has a quick trigger off the edge and up the middle when applying pressure and can quickly get into the backfield with relentless pursuit. Leilua is a big time plug in the run game and packs a punch at the POA while filling with violence and and shows a good ability to weave through traffic near the LOS.

Leilua led Servite in tackles last season as a freshman and earned All-Trinity League honors which is insanely impressive.
He has explosive short-area speed as a linebacker and reads offenses at an advanced level. A lot of young linebackers just surrender the stalemate when facing a double team, but Leilua fights to split the duo and still make the play.
Like all freshmen, he needs to have a nice offseason in the weight room, but he has the tools to be a County Player of the Year candidate in a year or two.
