He went 10/13 for 219 yards and three touchdowns, showing confidence in his receivers and giving them chances to make plays on the ball. Powell's athleticism also stood out when the pocket broke down, as he used his legs to extend plays, made plays rolling out and throwing on the run, and picked up some timely yards as a runner for a great week two performance.

329 passing yards 3 touchdowns

Coming off a difficult opening night against Martinsburg, 2029 Hedgesville QB [player_tooltip player_id='1679666' first='Kevin' last='Blosser'] looked much more comfortable in his second career varsity start and gave the Eagles a big-time performance against Washington. Blosser threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns, consistently placing the ball well and hitting his receivers in stride and away from defenders. Blosser also made several tight-window throws and showed a much higher level of execution throughout the night, helping the Eagles build some momentum during a rebuilding season. The result didn't go Hedgesville's way in the narrow loss, but Blosser's performance was a major positive and gives the Eagles something to build on moving forward.

5 receptions 185 yards 2 touchdowns

The Hedgesville passing game was clicking against Washington, and 2028 WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='2240506' first='Kayden' last='Munson'] was the biggest beneficiary with the best game of his career. Munson hauled in 5 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns, doing a lot of his damage after the catch by staying balanced through contact and turning short throws into explosive plays. Munson also came through with a couple of timely vertical shots from the slot, giving Washington another element to account for downfield. Mayer finished with 7 receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns, giving him back-to-back 100-yard receiving performances to open his senior season. Mayer was a mismatch with his explosive athleticism and showed his versatility by making plays from both the slot and at wideout. Knight totaled 13 tackles and came up with a massive forced fumble inside their own 5-yard line, giving Martinsburg a much-needed stop against the Indians' Single Wing attack. Knight's physicality and play recognition at middle linebacker were on full display as he consistently diagnosed what Bridgeport was trying to do. Wood showed strong hands and good concentration through contact and traffic, while his route running consistently helped him find space. Williams finished with 9 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 3 sacks, using his quickness and agility to give the Patriots' offensive front matchup problems throughout the night. Williams put in the work during the offseason, and that preparation is showing up in technically sound big performances up front this season during a great start to his senior year for the Hawks.

4 receptions 140 yards 1 touchdown

It took a big-time play from 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1157627' first='Zane' last='Wipf'] to help Martinsburg put away Bridgeport in a hard-fought Week 2 win. His biggest play came in the final minutes when Wipf broke loose for a 75-yard touchdown catch-and-run on third down, sealing the huge win for Martinsburg. Blake carried the ball 25 times for 160 yards and five touchdowns, stepping into a bigger role in the backfield while QB [player_tooltip player_id='923337' first='Maddox' last='Twigg'] recovers from an injury. Blake was slated to see more work at receiver this season, but he showed he can still be a major factor in the backfield where he made his name known at his previous school. He rewarded a Morgantown offensive line that owned the line of scrimmage with a big performance, showing good vision to find open holes and cutback lanes throughout the night. It was a great debut for Blake and a reminder of what he can bring to this offense at running back.

308 passing yards 3 touchdowns

2028 Parkersburg South QB [player_tooltip player_id='2382524' first='Logen' last='Arnold'] continues to settle into the quarterback position and showed plenty of upside in the Patriots' high-scoring battle with University. Arnold threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns in the 76-50 loss, proving he can go toe-to-toe with one of the top teams in AAAA as he grows into the position. Arnold was in a battle for the starting job coming into the season, but he's taken control and is getting more comfortable each week. With his 6'4 athletic frame, he has plenty of tools to develop into a future prospect at the position. While Arnold is still far from a polished quarterback, his growth will be fun to follow as the season progresses.

https://twitter.com/logen_arnold/status/2096253060976718205

9 receptions 198 yards 2 touchdowns

We had [player_tooltip player_id='2139527' first='Logan' last='Graham'] circled as a preseason breakout candidate for Parkersburg South, and he showed exactly why against University in Week 2. The 2028 WR was [player_tooltip player_id='2382524' first='Logen' last='Arnold']'s top target, hauling in 9 receptions for 198 yards and two touchdowns in a 76-50 shootout. Graham's combination of size and explosive athleticism makes him a difficult matchup, with the kind of high-level speed that can turn any touch into a touchdown. His performance against the Hawks was a great example of why defenses will have to know where he is on every snap throughout the season.

OTHER BIG PERFORMANCES

2027 University QB [player_tooltip player_id='1271395' first='Harrison' last='Helbig'] - 471 passing yards 8 total TDs

2027 University WR Evan Toler - 4 receptions 204 yards 2 touchdowns

2027 University WR [player_tooltip player_id='1326514' first='Hayden' last='George'] - 4 receptions 180 yards 4 touchowns punt return TD

2027 Washington RB [player_tooltip player_id='895943' first='Allen' last='Casey'] - 29 carries 222 yards 1 TD

2027 Washington WR Avorie Brown - 3 receptions 109 yards 1 TD

2027 Martinsburg QB [player_tooltip player_id='895900' first='Brian' last='Dick'] - 266 passing yards 2 TDs 103 rushing yards 1 TD

2027 Woodrow Wilson ATH [player_tooltip player_id='897527' first='Javontae' last='Wynes'] - 17 carries 133 yards 1 TD - Receiving TD

2027 Wheeling Park TE [player_tooltip player_id='1616261' first='Preston' last='Heatherington'] - 7 receptions 126 yards 1 TD - 2-pt conv

2029 George Washington RB [player_tooltip player_id='1826125' first='Jaden' last='Black'] - 14 carries 182 yards 4 touchdowns

2028 Cabell Midland QB [player_tooltip player_id='1743485' first='Logan' last='Shull'] - 9/9 154 yards 4 touchdowns 101 rushing yards

2027 Parkersburg South RB [player_tooltip player_id='1260055' first='Kooper' last='Jackson'] - 25 carries 108 yards 3 touchdowns

2027 Preston WR [player_tooltip player_id='2382529' first='Kaleb' last='Stone'] - 12 receptions 175 yards 2 touchdowns

2027 Preston QB [player_tooltip player_id='1688028' first='Rowan' last='Cramer'] - 213 passing yards 2 touchdowns

2027 Spring Mills RB [player_tooltip player_id='1810530' first='Chris' last='Williams'] - 145 rushing yards 3 touchdowns

2028 Woodrow Wilson ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1856641' first='Gage' last='Burdette'] - 149 rushing yards 2 touchdowns
