For seniors especially, this stretch of film is essential, as college coaches evaluate current-season tape to see how prospects perform against live competition and whether their game translates to the next level. This spotlight takes a closer look at players with film from their first three games that colleges need to check out.

David Robinson Jr has gotten off to a huge start to his senior season after making the move to Herbert Hoover, emerging as one of the top running back performers in the state through the first three weeks. The 2027 RB has carried the ball 37 times for 538 yards and 13 touchdowns, and Robinson has also shown he can be just as effective as a pass catcher, adding another dimension to his game for the Huskies. Already considered one of the top prospects in the state, Robinson looks like he's taken another step forward with his play early this season. The Army commit could get a second look from P4 programs if he keeps this pace up.

Bridgeport's Gavin Williams has continued right where he left off after a prolific junior season for the Indians. The 2027 RB/K has rushed 32 times for 427 yards and 8 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 13 yards per carry, while also recording a 13/15 kickoff touchback rate. Williams is sharing more carries this season with a healthy backfield, but he remains an explosive play waiting to happen whenever he gets the ball. We currently have Williams ranked as the top specialist prospect in the class, but his ability as an ATH should also garner serious recruiting attention from college programs. He's a well-rounded athlete who consistently executes his assignments at a high level.

Hampshire is in an expected transition year after making the playoffs last season, but don't forget about 2027 RB Roscoe Dean. He's one of the top running back prospects in the class in our eyes and still feels overlooked as a college prospect. Dean's athleticism jumps off the tape, and the raw testing numbers back up what you see on film. He's equally impressive as a pass catcher and has been a consistent strength over the years. Dean will help carry the Trojans to more wins this season and keep them competitive in many games.

Landyn Carpenter has been carrying the load for Philip Barbour to open his senior season, averaging 200 yards per game and scoring seven touchdowns for the Colts. As the passing game continues to develop, the 2027 RB has been a reliable focal point for the offense and has shown he can handle a heavy workload. Carpenter has the size and strength to withstand a lot of touches with his combination of power and toughness. He also has the speed to break free when he finds a crease or gets to the outside to pair with his hard running style. Carpenter has worked himself into being a top RB prospect in the class and is deserving of more college looks this fall.

2027 RB/ATH Javontae Wynes has gotten off to a hot start to his senior season and has stepped up big for Woodrow Wilson's gashing running game. Wynes finished his junior year with momentum, but he's elevated his game significantly as a senior and has now stacked three standout performances to open the year. Wynes has also added a lot of size since last year, and that added physicality has directly translated to more success as a ball carrier. If he continues playing at this level, his stock will rise, and more college programs will take a closer look.

https://twitter.com/javontae_wynes/status/2099274467167908326

2027 RB Seth Robinson got plenty of opportunities to show what he can do during the first two weeks of the season, handling a heavy workload for Elkins before teammate Jaden Hatfield returned from injury to share the load. He has taken advantage of those opportunities, carrying the ball 73 times for 612 yards and seven touchdowns to start the year. Robinson has the size and durability to handle a big workload, and he does a nice job following his blocks in the Tigers' Wing-T attack while consistently finding a way to pick up a consistent five yards. He also has the ability to break loose for explosive runs after grinding out the tough yards. Robinson is an underrated RB prospect in the class who deserves more college attention. .

Mingo Central has a bevy of backs to utilize, but 2027 RB Jace Coleman is still the top dog in the Miners' backfield. Coleman has more of a scatback build with the burst and quickness that make him difficult to defend, but he also runs hard for his size and consistently bounces off tacklers. Coleman has been an underrated part of Mingo Central's 3-0 start, and has had consistent production for multiple years. Hedrick has racked up 400 yards and 6 touchdowns through the first three weeks, helping the Panthers get off to their first 3-0 start since 2018. Hedrick is a tough, physical runner who's a load to bring down, but even as a bigger back, he's shown he can turn the corner and break away for some long runs as well. He's a perfect fit as the bigger back in PikeView's system and has helped set the tone for the kind of football the Panthers are establishing.

University is glad to have 2028 RB/ATH Brody Kehler back and healthy after he was limited to just four games as a sophomore. The Hawks have relied heavily on their explosive passing attack through the first three games, but Kehler has still found success on the ground and should see his production ramp up as the season moves along. He can be a game breaker whenever the ball is in his hands, and his versatility as an athlete gives University multiple ways to get him involved. He might be the biggest stock riser in the state early in the season and has been impressive to watch, playing the best football of his career. His production has helped put South Charleston back on the map, and if he keeps playing at this level, it feels like only a matter of time before the D1 offers start coming.

You might not have known 2027 East Hardy RB Nehemiah Graham before the season, but he is making sure you know his name after the first three weeks. The Cougars have shown great balance on offense, and Graham's elevated play in the backfield has been a big part of that while putting together three strong performances to begin his junior year. He's added significant size since his sophomore season and is physically impressive now, bringing a combination of power and speed to the position. Graham runs hard and grinds out the tough yards before using his speed to break loose for chunk plays. If he keeps playing at this level, he'll be on college radars sooner rather than later.

Richwood snapped its 21-game losing streak with a win over Mount View last week, and 2028 RB Fawkes O'Dell has been a big part of the Lumberjacks' turnaround. O'Dell has been excellent through the first three games of his junior season, showing good size and athleticism as one of the better athletes in Class A. He's a small-school running back at one of the smallest programs in the state, but that shouldn't keep him from getting attention as his production continues to pile up. He's been one of the best under-the-radar running backs in the state early this season and is capable of putting up big numbers every week.

2029 Moorefield RB Bill Lewis has emerged as another stock-rising running back early this season and looks like he's going to be a very good RB prospect by the time he reaches his senior year. Lewis has made significant progress since his freshman season and has greatly elevated his game for the Yellow Jackets. Lewis' combination of size and speed is scary for his age and has played a big role in Moorefield's quick turnaround as a program. Through the first three weeks, he's looked like one of the best underclassman running backs in the state and is a name to keep on the radar as he continues to develop.

https://twitter.com/billware_25/status/2099173739703222280
