Week Two Prospects to Add to Your Recruiting Board

These are prospects currently outside our rankings who are new names to add to your recruiting board, whether it's production, athleticism, physical tools, or simply making plays that stood out on tape. The 2028 EDGE has made an immediate impact for a much-improved Bearcats team, lining up as a stand-up edge rusher and using his quickness and power effectively. Clark has active hands as a pass rusher, which makes him a tough block, and he does a nice job in run support, crashing hard and getting to the ball quickly. The 2027 prospect has a great 6'4 225 frame and a basketball background that makes him an intriguing football prospect. We've been eager to get some film on him and are finally able to get eyes on him as a senior and like his upside. Burdette is still a raw player, but his physical tools are impressive for a college program to develop and give him the potential to become a future star at the next level. Blasher has an intriguing 6'4 200 frame for the position, giving him plenty of physical upside as a punter prospect. He has a big leg and does a good job placing the ball away from returners and getting a nice roll to add extra yardage. McCardle is already making an impact on varsity and has the quickness to line up both inside and outside in the Patriots' scheme. His high motor gets him involved in plays consistently, and he plays with natural leverage. McCardle plays with good physicality and toughness against older competition, with the strength and power to be stout at the point of attack. He had a big Week 2 performance against Parkersburg that earned him a Helmet Sticker, and after finding his film, there's plenty to like about his game. Mathis is a smaller athlete, but his quickness and agility make him highly effective in their scheme. Mathis is elusive in the open field and does a good job making defenders miss in space. He also picked off a pass at safety, showing he can impact the game on both sides of the ball.
