Edmunds completed 68 percent of his passes for 2,724 yards with 32 touchdowns and just two interceptions for Huntington Beach last season and he added four rushing touchdowns.

He has one of the best arms in the nation and can fit the ball into tight windows with his arm strength. Edmunds gets the ball out on time and makes good decisions with the football. He takes risks with the football despite the low turnover count because his arm strength can mitigate the risk of throwing into tight coverages. Edmunds is a pure pocket guy who has battled some injuries in his career which has hindered his athleticism a bit, but the arm talent is why Ohio State was so interested in him.

Jones completed 75 percent of his passes for 3044 yards with 30 touchdowns and just one interception for Crean Lutheran last season. He earned All-County honors from the Orange County Register.

He has very good timing with his receivers and had an excellent showing at the South County Classic passing tournament. Jones is a really good athlete who plays basketball for a good Crean Lutheran team and can extend plays with his legs. He makes good decisions with the ball and is a high football IQ guy who makes his teammates around him better.

Mitchell completed 51 percent of his passes for 2678 yards with 30 touchdowns and 13 rushing touchdowns last season for a La Habra team that won a CIF championship.

He's the best dual-threat quarterback in the county and has the field vision of a running back. Mitchell has a quick release, can throw off-platform and mix up his arm angles when needed. He can make a lot of the throws he is asked to make and has the leeway to take some risks with the ball. La Habra will need a big year from Mitchell in order to compete in the tough Bravo League this year and he is a steal for Cal Poly.

Smith completed 69 percent of his passes for 168 yards per game with seven touchdowns in just six games for Villa Park last season after transferring from Loyola.

He was excellent at the South County Classic passing tournament and seems to have shown good leadership qualities with Santa Margarita's offense. Smith drops to his spot in the pocket quickly with a smooth release and has good ball placement down the field against tight coverage. He is committed to Vanderbilt and is taking a big step up in competition this year going from Villa Park to Santa Margarita.

Pooley averaged 122 yards per game with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions last season for Chaminade and battled for playing time with a stellar freshman at the end of the season.

He transferred to Mater Dei where he will also battle with an underclassman quarterback for playing time. Pooley has nice frame with good arm strength and looks smooth in his movements. He can make a variety of throws from different angles and looked good at the Elite 11 Regional this spring. Pooley has offers from San Diego State and Colorado.
