Expert Analysis
Michael Huntley | Prep Redzone Scout
Edmunds had one of the better arms among the group and can make some of the more difficult throws look easy. He was one of the better quarterbacks in the accuracy challenge on day two and looked good at the beginning of the 7 on 7 portion. Edmunds is a traditional pocket passer and when he can get his feet set, he throws a beautiful ball.

Edmunds is best in the pocket with his feet set and he nailed those throws during the pro day. I watched him closely in the accuracy challenge and he nailed some of the tougher targets of the day. Edmunds isn’t the most mobile guy at the camp but his arm strength still stands out.

Edmunds wasn’t as consistent throughout the day as some of the other guys above, but his arm strength stands out when watching him throw among the other quarterbacks. He can throw hard and some receivers were having trouble catching some of the short and intermediate throws. His release is over the top and repeatable and he looked comfortable early in all the drills.

Edmunds has put on some serious muscle in the past year or so and has improved his arm strength along with it. He was ripping the ball all over the field to all levels and the ball was getting to the receivers in a hurry. Edmunds was the lone quarterback of the day to earn an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals this summer and it’s easy to see why.
