announced his commitment to Wyoming on Thursday.
Champion caught six passes for 94 yards with a touchdown for Huntington Beach last season and had an interception on defense in just six games. He transferred into Huntington Beach from Salpointe Catholic in Arizona.
He also had offers from Boise State and Colorado State among others. Champion is one of two players from California in Wyoming’s 2027 recruiting class and one of three receivers.

is a rare combination of size and athleticism. He’s a serious deep threat with speed, length, and great hands, while also being a very solid short-route runner who has no trouble getting open in tight spaces. He moved around the field very fluidly and has all the physical tools most coaches are looking for in a star wide receiver. Look for Champion’s recruitment to start heating up as he gets more meaningful reps for Salpointe Catholic this fall.
