Ranked as the No. 1 RB prospect in Georgia for the 2028 class, Hartsfield also makes a big jump to the No. 3 overall prospect in the state. The electric 5-foot-11 185-pound back from Covington ran wild as a sophomore last season, rushing for over 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging over 12 yards per carry along the way. He's a slippery back with a muscular frame, breakaway speed, vision, and the ability to power his way through defenders after first contact. His outstanding blend of speed, quickness, and power make him an easy five-star candidate in the 2028 class.

One of the fastest and most explosive running backs in South Georgia, NcNeil saw a big rankings boost this summer after a terrific sophomore season for the state-champion Yellow Jackets. The 5-foot-11 185-pounder helped carry the load on the ground, rushing for 566 yards and 10 touchdowns in a backup role, averaging just under 10 yards per carry. His recruitment took off this spring thanks to his impressive skillset that includes burst, the ability to consistently break tackles, and the potential to score anytime he has the ball. Look for McNiel to be one of the state's leading rushers in the 2028 class this fall.

Making a major jump to the No. 4 running back spot in the state, Schettini has quickly become one of the state's best in his class after a dominant sophomore season where he ran for over 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns, rushing for at least 100 yards in seven games. The 5-foot-9 200-pounder runs low to the ground, can punish defenders, and is one of the best tackle-breaking backs that side of Atlanta. Now, he's ranked in the top-40 across the state in the 2028 class. He runs with balance, brings plenty of speed, and will be even better as a junior for Northgate in 2026.

Ranked as the No. 5 RB prospect in the state, Nalls made a big jump in the latest rankings update due to his impressive frame, potential, talent, and the tape last fall from his sophomore season. The impressive Calhoun running back was the No.2 option for the Yellow Jackets last fall, rushing for 421 yards and five touchdowns on just 68 carries. He showed a shifty running style, impressive vision, and enough size to pick up big yards after first contact. His potential is easy to see and he's likely bound for a strong, productive junior season this fall.

Another dynamic and productive back in North Georgia, James is one of the best backs in the Cartersville area and is one of the leading returning backs in region this upcoming season. The 5-foot-11 180-pounder brings plenty of size and above-average speed, taking off for over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns, rushing for at least 100 yards in five games. His productivity and overall talent makes him an easy Power Four-caliber running back, and he's now ranked as the No. 9 RB and the No. 90 overall prospect in Georgia for the 2028 class. He's a back to keep a very close eye on this fall.
