Enjoy!

The 2026 football season kicks off this week and we're kicking off our coverage with complete and in-depth breakdowns on the state's senior class. This is a class that will go down in the history books as one of the best in state history. We've updated our 2027 rankings to include the Top 200 prospects in the state. We have a ton of individual breakdowns dropping every day to spotlight some of those special prospects. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the wide receiver and tight end positions with the best of the best. These six prospects should definitely be on your radar as the 2026 season kicks off this week as all six are already committed to D1 programs and four of the six are included in the top 20 overall rankings for this class. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 individual breakdowns!

Another Tight End in the class of 2027, [player_tooltip player_id='1035103' first='Titus' last='Hawk'], has committed to play football in South Bend for Notre Dame. Standing at 6'7" and 225 pounds, this Choctaw athlete is a matchup problem who can impact the game in multiple ways. As a blocker, he is physical both in the box and out in space. He doesn't wait for defenders to come to him—he attacks them and looks to finish every block. He embraces all aspects of the run-blocking game and plays with a physical edge that stands out on film. What I really like about his game is his versatility. He can block at the point of attack, get out in space and block on the perimeter, catch the football over the middle, or stretch the field vertically. For a player his size, he shows impressive athleticism and does a good job adjusting to the football when it is in the air. Anytime Choctaw gets near paydirt, he becomes an even bigger problem for the defense. At 6'7", his size, catch radius, and ability to adjust to the football make him a tremendous red-zone mismatch. He has the ability to contribute in every phase of the offensive game and is a player who can make an impact in a variety of ways.

In the class of 2027, wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='807020' first='Cooper' last='Hooker'], is committed to play football at Oklahoma State. Hooker looks to make a splash at Pryor where he transferred this spring. Hooker looks poised to make a splash at Pryor after transferring to the Tigers this spring. With Pryor's offensive scheme, I expect the coaching staff to find creative ways to get the football in his hands and let his playmaking ability take over. I had the opportunity to watch Hooker firsthand at the University of Oklahoma Football Camp, where he consistently ran crisp routes and competed on every rep. What stands out most is his ability as a route runner. Hooker does a great job creating separation and finding open space, giving his quarterback a reliable target. His athleticism and ability to make plays with the football should add another dimension to the Tigers' offense. I'm excited to see how Pryor utilizes Hooker this season and the impact he can make in his new home.

Norman North Tight End, [player_tooltip player_id='1530058' first='Ben' last='Kolar'], has already committed to play football at Stanford. It will be interesting to watch Kolar fit into Stanford's offensive scheme and see how the coaching staff utilizes his skill set. I love his pure athleticism and the versatility he brings to the offense. You can flex him out as a single receiver and create a matchup on the outside, or keep him at H-back and let him do damage in the box. He is physical at the point of contact and runs his feet. His hands really stand out on film, and he does an excellent job creating space for himself to make the catch. Kolar has the ability to stretch the field vertically while also presenting a difficult matchup in the red zone. His combination of size, athleticism, hands, and versatility gives Norman North and Stanford another dynamic weapon, and I'm excited to see how both find different ways to get him involved.

Another 2027 Tight End, [player_tooltip player_id='693998' first='Braxton' last='Daniel'], is committed to play football at Utah. Daniel brings a lot of versatility to the position and has the size to create matchup problems for opposing defenses. Standing at 6'4" and 220 pounds, he is a big target who does an excellent job using his frame to make plays. He shows good hand-eye coordination and consistently finishes the catch, especially when working across the middle of the field. Last season, Daniel averaged more than 34 yards per reception while finding the end zone six times, showing his ability to be a legitimate big-play threat. He runs well for his size and has the athleticism to stretch the field vertically while giving his quarterback a large target to throw to. Daniel looks to be geared up for a great senior season before he heads off to Utah.

Central Arkansas snagged a commit in [player_tooltip player_id='716513' first='Payton' last='Lang'] out of Broken Arrow in the class of 2027. Lang is a receiver who consistently competes for the football and displays excellent ball skills. He catches the ball with his hands and shows strong hand-eye coordination, allowing him to make difficult catches look routine. He has made several acrobatic catches on film and consistently goes up to compete for the football rather than waiting for it to come to him. As a route runner, Lang does a good job understanding spacing concepts and finding ways to create separation. He has a good feel for where to sit in coverage and uses his athleticism to create throwing windows for his quarterback. His catch radius is another strength, giving him the ability to make plays outside of his frame. Lang isn't afraid to finish a play by taking the ball to the ground, and he will go through the turf to complete a catch when necessary. He also does a good job high-pointing the football, giving him another advantage when competing against defensive backs. His combination of route running, body control, hands, and competitiveness makes him a receiver worth keeping an eye on this year for the Tigers.

Air Force commit, [player_tooltip player_id='523223' first='Gage' last='Gibbons'], is in the class of 2027 and plays wide receiver for Deer Creek. If you want to talk about speed, Gage is a player who immediately stands out. The 100-meter 2 time state champion owns a personal best of 10.30 seconds and has been clocked at 4.34 in the 40-yard dash. That speed shows up on film, especially when he gets the ball in open space. Deer Creek does a great job finding different ways to get Gage involved and put the football in his hands. He can stretch the defense vertically as a deep threat or take a bubble screen, find a crease, and turn it into a big play. With his explosiveness, every touch has the potential to turn into a highlight and "strike up the band." Gage also shows good ball skills, adjusting to the football in the air and making the necessary adjustments to finish the catch. What I really like is that he isn't afraid to do the dirty work either. He will get out in space and finish his blocks, showing that his game is about more than just making plays with the ball in his hands. His combination of elite speed, athleticism, and toughness makes Gage a dangerous weapon for the Deer Creek offense.
