Mount Pleasant Scrimmage Attention Getters:

There was a lot of exceptional players on Wednesday in mount pleasant who showed out and helped raise their stock heading into the regular season. Let's take a look at what each of these 5 players did to grab the additional attention and show big time ability as playmakers for there teams.    Lukas was very impressive on Wednesday for the Northman and showed total command of the offense. Lukas did a very nice job distributing the football to multiple weapons on the offense. Lukas showed the ability to make all the throws. He hit out routes with accuracy, he hit slants with exceptional zip on the ball and also showed a big arm on the deep ball. I saw Lukas this summer and can see he has continued to develop as the signal caller for Petoskey as we roll into the start of the season. Petoskey was very impressive in the scrimmage and I see a solid year ahead for     Mount Pleasant may have the most talented quarterback room in the state with [player_tooltip player_id='2164119' first='Xavier' last='Creguer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1682851' first='Freddie' last='Makinen']. Each quarterback has strengths that complement each other and the Oiler offense well. Freddie is a 6'3" left handed Qb that can absolutely sling it. Freedie split reps with Xavier during the scrimmage and showed he has total command of the offense and can distribute the rock to the play makers that surround him. On one play Freddie rolled to his left tucked the ball and housed a 40 yard run. Freddie is going to have a solid season and the Oilers QB room is as talented as they come.     Kam is a player I have been real high on this summer and this Swan Valley athlete did nothing to sway my views of him. Kam is a smooth wideout that runs excellent routes and has very good top end speed. One thing that really stood out to me with Kam is his ability to run crisp routes and gain good separation at the top of his route. I also saw Kam on the defensive side of the ball and he was equally as impressive. Kam does a very good job staying in phase with the wide receiver and plays his keys very well. Kam is set to have a big senior year and will be worth the watch this fall.     Prosper did not get a ton of action on Wednesday as coach McIntyre knows exactly what he has in there work horse back. Prosper is a powerful built running back that shows very good vision to go along with good top end speed. Prosper did a very good job setting up blocks and running with power in between the tackles. I see a big fall ahead for prosper and am excited to see him and his Oiler team follow up this year on the heels of a huge year last year.     Tate was a virtual unknown to me when I arrived on Wednesday. The first thing that popped to me was Tate's size and good mobility for a 240 plus pound right tackle. I thought Tate did a very good job in pass protect when his QB took 5 step drops. Tate kept the pocket clean for his QB to scan and gave him time to deliver long passes down the field. I was also impressed with Tate's ability to get good pad level and move people in the run game. Tate is a little raw but his physical tools allow him to still be highly effective. With Tate at right tackle and [player_tooltip player_id='2166197' first='Connor' last='Berg'] at left tackle Petoskey has to excellent bookend tackles that set the Northman up nicely to have a big year.
