The D3 battle for the playoffs is heading up, and Lukas and his Petoskey squad are in the thick of it as they are the first team out.
Lukas has had some incredible plays this season. He is one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the state, and certainly one of the most underrated players in Northern Michigan. He has a big arm, is extremely accurate and is obviously well coached with a high football IQ. And to compliment that, he has been very effective in the run game and making defenses worry about if he’s going to take off.
Petoskey has some winnable games coming up that will be worth some major playoff points, so if he’s on the money like he has shown he can be, the Northmen could be back in the postseason!
Lukas was very impressive on Wednesday for the Northman and showed total command of the offense. Lukas did a very nice job distributing the football to multiple weapons on the offense. Lukas showed the ability to make all the throws. He hit out routes with accuracy, he hit slants with exceptional zip on the ball and also showed a big arm on the deep ball. I saw Lukas this summer and can see he has continued to develop as the signal caller for Petoskey as we roll into the start of the season. Petoskey was very impressive in the scrimmage and I see a solid year ahead for
Another underrated gunslinger in the North! Back in March I got the opportunity to go watch him work and came away extremely impressed. He has a great frame already, and he pairs that with a strong arm that allows him to fire it into windows or push the ball downfield for big chunk plays. His footwork is consistent across his film as well as in person, which allows him to be extremely accurate. Between his film and what I saw in person, there’s no reason why Lukas should be overlooked. Absolutely one to keep on your radar!
