This is a class that will go down in the history books as one of the best in state history. We've updated our 2027 rankings to include the Top 200 prospects in the state. We have a ton of individual breakdowns dropping every day to spotlight some of those special prospects. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at five of the best two-way players in the state. These prospects are listed below as “athletes” but they might already be locked in to their future school for one position or another. Regardless, all five of these guys bring a ton of versatility to the football field every Friday night. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 individual breakdowns!

We should probably just move Jenks standout [player_tooltip player_id='1030447' first='Kailib' last='Dillard'] to the defensive back ranking because all signs point to him playing safety at the next level. But it is really difficult to just forget about last season and the year he had on the offensive side of the ball. Jenks coaches will be the first to tell you how important Dillard was last season and heading into this season. “He'll never leave the field,” is a quote that you'll hear often when describing Dillard. He's another 2027 prospect that has been on the radar since his freshman season. Whether it was that first year at Lincoln Christian or the last two at Jenks, Dillard has routinely been a player you have to watch out for. Now, he goes into his senior year as a Florida safety commit that's also an elite two-way player in 6A-1.

Del City's [player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] is the ultimate example of the “athlete” tag for a position. Offensively, he is equally as dangerous at the running back or wide receiver position. Defensively, we feel like he's made an impact lining up at all three levels of the defense. And finally in special teams, he's always been a threat to take a return to the house if you give him any kind of space in the open field. Blackwolf has been an All State-caliber athlete for several years now. He's also a 2027 prospect that might have begun his high school career thinking he was going to college as a basketball prospect. But it became apparent very early on that the ceiling was higher in football. This summer, Blackwolf announced his commitment and NSU got one of the bigger steals in the 2027 class.

Carl Albert's [player_tooltip player_id='1680084' first='Makauri' last='Johnson'] has all the tools to be one of the better prospects in the state's 2027 class. Johnson emerged late last season as a terrific wide receiver and big target in the pass game. But there's also an element of his game where he can turn around and play defense. And each time we've seen Johnson over the last 12 months, he's been one of the better athletes on the football field. He's another 2027 prospect that it's hard to nail down where his highest ceiling would be at the next level. Whether it's on offense or defense and what positions is still a question. What isn't a question is the fact that Johnson has the ability to be a game changer no matter where he's lined up. We've seen it firsthand a couple of times this offseason.

We've probably had Kiefer 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1343433' first='Cash' last='Worley'] labeled as a quarterback or an athlete every time we've done a ranking update. All signs point to Worley heading to Texas State as a tight end and that might be the natural position for him moving forward. It's likely that when our last ranking update comes out at the end of this year, Worley will be listed as a tight end. But it's hard not to list him as an “athlete” right now because of the impact he has and versatility he plays the game with. Worley enters his senior season looking to lead the Trojans into the state championship picture at the quarterback position. He's another example of a player that can impact the game at a very high level. No matter where he lines up, he's certainly an impact player.

Hooker's [player_tooltip player_id='1084102' first='Justin' last='Palacios'] has probably been featured in every single 2027 ranking update as one of the better running backs in this class. He's in a similar position to Blackwolf at Del City. Offensively, Palacios has been an absolute monster since his freshman season. He broke onto the scene at the running back position and his junior season, he was one of the best overall football players in the state. That junior year really opened our eyes about what's possible for Palacios moving forward. On one hand, he might be the most productive running back in the state's 2027 class. On the other, he's a hard-hitting defender that has a nose for the football. It doesn't matter what side of the ball it is, Palacios has found a way to stand out early and often.
