2029 SD Rankings Offensive Q/A: Ahead of Release

He's also got the athletic traits that already has a couple of years of varsity experience under his belt. <strong>Will he be in my top-tier QB 2029 group in South Dakota?</strong> He's got himself a good chance due to that experience noted. He'll surely be in one of the top slots for running backs when the rankings come out this week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Q: Favorite Tight Ends in this Class?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Nate:</strong> So far their are two that really stick out amongst the rest. Both coming out of 11AA are Huron's <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1747198' first='Carter' last='Porisch']</strong> and Brookings<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='1745603' first='Jennings' last='Huntimer']</strong>. Carter is 6'5 240 pounds and caught the radar of our Midwest Scouting Director at the SDSU Prospect Camp this summer. Jennings is a 6'3 205 pounder that already has promising size and frame and based on what we saw during this 7v7 season with Sanford, he shows early he doesn't need much of a window to utilize his sizable hands in high-traffic areas. These tight ends classes in the Dakotas always take a while to develop, but these two stick out earliest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Q: Deepest Offensive Position?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Nate</strong>: Not one that will surprise many folks as that answer in the <strong>offensive line group</strong>. I am not only impressed with the elite size that a lot of these young men have, but a handful of them have already stuck out to college programs our guys on the road at camps especially at SDSU this summer. Names that you will want to know are: <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1740899' first='Caden' last='Tobias']</em></strong> of Sioux Falls Jefferson, <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='2239230' first='Grant' last='Blomgren']</em></strong> of Brandon Valley, <em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2262254' first='Kameron' last='Karlson']</strong></em> of Lennox (little brother of SDSU commit <strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1622004' first='Leif' last='Karlson']</em></strong>) just to name a few.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Q: A Position That has a "Wait and See" Grade on it Right Now?</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Nate</strong>: Right now that position group is <strong>wide receiver</strong>. Yes, there some talented upside out of this group but there's not a lot that have varsity tape out this 2029 class as of yet which makes it difficult to evaluate what this class looks like one to two updates from now.
