There isn’t a ton of tape out on our #1 overall prospect from this fall as of yet anyway, but what we have seen shows promise that Kacyn has. He’s shown already he is a wide receiver that you can line up just about anywhere and he will have success, especially around the edges. He has shown when he is in the open field, he can become a problem for secondarys due to his long strides and athleticism. He’s surely one I want to see at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen in December to see even more what he brings to the table.

We move to our #1 overall prospect in the South Dakota 2029 class, which is Kacyn Larson Kacyn Larson 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR/DB Sioux Falls Washington | 2029 State SD of Sioux Falls Washington. Kacyn is one that I have had on my radar for a couple years now so when it was time to figure out who the top prospect in the class was, it didn’t take long to figure out due to him having verified tape. He’s the smoothest route-runner in the Dakotas and has learned quickly how to utilize his size on contested catches to win the 1v1 battles with his 6’2 175 pound frame. Even though he’s just entering his freshmen season with the Warriors, I loved how dialed-in Kacyn looks on tape with his football IQ as every time I see his hands he just looks instinctively gifted for his age as a pass-catcher and shows it on both sides of the ball too. The presence too that Kacyn plays with is evident on both sides of the ball.

First up on the list is South Dakota’s Kacyn Larson. Larson stands at 6 ft 150 lbs and plays not just receiver, but defensive back and running back as well. Versatility is a major upside for Larson, as not only does he play three positions, but he plays them well. As a receiver Larson demonstrates fantastic footwork and ability to high point the football. He also demonstrates a shifty move set that allows him to dance by oncoming defenders.
