Elijah’s put together some solid tape in the last few weeks, showing off the position flexibiliy that he might have at his disposal He’s one that is a creator in the open field as a pass-catcher with the use of his great vision that should only continue to grow in the coming years. Where I like him most is as a slot receiver especially in the red zone, as he showed countless times, he can take the top off the secondary. Elijah is one that is trending upwards right now in my eyes.

I made the call last week that Elijah, is my selection for DB1 in the entire Dakotas in this 2029 class. Getting out in front of college coaches gave him a boost in my eyes during camp season especially when you got to watch his live reps. I mentioned that his footwork is above his age and he is constantly right in the grill of the wide receiverrs he went up again with that “in your face” yet plays with the balanced demeanor you want in your secondary. He has elite ball-tracking ability too for his age, as one that I feel might be the toughest one to top in our top five positionally.

Even though it might be early to make this call, I am going to make it and say Elijah looks like the best defensive back not only in South Dakota, but all of the Dakotas. He has great footwork for his age and brings menace-like instincts with his 1v1 pass coverage in the reps I have seen on a few ocassions. You can tell Elijah brings a “dog” mentality when he’s around the football as the 5’11 160 pounder also has a vertical that caught my eyes quickly. Our #3 overall in South Dakota looks like a good one that is headed to Sioux Falls Washington. Twitter
