On Saturday, June 27, 2026 Prep Redzone Next was back-in-action in Jackson, New Jersey, as they hosted "The Rize." A double-session prospect showcase, this event drew middle school prospects from all across the country to see how they stacked up against their national counterparts. Each prospect was personally hand-selected by middle school guru Al Pops to compete and attend.

As per usual, I attended and report to you my positional notes for the position group referenced in the title of this article. My evaluations are through the lens of a high school coach and talent evaluator.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter for the latest New Jersey high school football prospect news and not miss a beat!

Zane Canada, who is not from anywhere near or neighbor to the north, showed me some positive things and a thing he work to improve. Starting with the positive, Canada read the coverage and route perfectly, uncorking a back-shoulder fade on a stop route. This was 100% the correct read he made; however, his receiver did not see things the same way and this pass landed incomplete - again, to no fault of Canada's. I do, however, want to see him step-and-stride into his throws a bit more. I felt as though he kept his base and stride a bit stationary, where if he gets into it more Canada will get more velocity on the ball.

One of the more physically advanced quarterbacks in attendance was Jordan Jenkins. At 6'2" and nearly 200lbs, there was neither a throw nor place on the field that he could get the ball for. I want to see Jordan be more mindful of where he places the ball, especially vertically. On one particular throw Jenkins got a bit too much loft on a vertical ball. As such, I can see in a game situation a safety getting underneath it and picking it. For as big as he is, sling that thing!

In the two looks I got of Cole Hampel he showed the full spectrum of extremes for his play. The first look was Hampel working through his mechanics. He threw a ball that sunk a bit, likely a product of it getting out of his hand late on the follow through. However, once competition revved up it was as if Hampel got in the full swing of things. Throwing one of the more impressive balls I took note of, Hampel had the pigskin slicing and gliding through limbs and bodies, dancing its way through,, reminiscent of Joe Montana's throw to Dwight Clark in the 1981 NFC Championship game.

Out of all the quarterback prospects I laid eyes on, Ethan Hood might have had the strongest, most pure, arm strength on the roster. I watched Hood, somewhat effortlessly, unleash complete a-bombs downfield without really stepping into his throws or emphasizing his mechanics. Apply those little things, and Hood might be able to throw the ball through a brick wall by the time he is a high school senior.

A prospect that has football in his DNA, [player_tooltip player_id='2179579' first='Bryson' last='Daniels'] looks like he has been the recipient of outstanding coaching early on in his young life. His father, who once played for Delaware State, appears to have gone above-and-beyond to get his son the proper football grooming. Daniels had, for my money, the tightest spiral of all the quarterbacks in attendance. This was accented by his tight, over-the-top delivery and release. All-in, Daniels appears to be an efficient quarterback in terms of his throwing motion and release, and one I am certain receivers love to catch passes from.

The Rize Event Coverage

Defensive Line, Part 1
Defensive Line, Part 2
Offensive Line, Part 1
Offensive Line, Part 2
Linebackers, Part 1
Quarterbacks, Part 1
Quarterbacks, Part 2
Receivers, Part 1
Receivers, Part 2
Running Backs, Part 1
