About Ethan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a poised, tough-minded quarterback who thrives in the pocket but has the athleticism to scramble when a play breaks down. I pride myself on my ability to distribute the ball accurately under heavy pressure and my absolute willingness to step into a throw, knowing I’m going to take a hit.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My ultimate focus as a quarterback is to move the chains and orchestrate scoring drives. What sets me apart is my composure and mental toughness. I have a strict 'next-play' mentality—a single mistake will never derail our momentum because I know we have four full quarters to win the game. I step onto the field every day with complete confidence in my preparation and my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Junior National Honors Society award recipient.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a starting QB, I developed leadership by communicating clearly and positive while earning the trust of my team and peers. I learned teamwork by understanding each player's/position role, allowing for our team to execute success. Additionally, my commitment to giving back through volunteering at numerous outreaches and giving the extra time to my teammates highlight my strong work ethic.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for an environment with strong academic support resources to help manage the balance between schoolwork and football. On the field, I'm looking for a coaching staff that I can connect with and a team culture that emphasizes hard work and teamwork. I'm open to different divisions and locations as long as the fit is right.

I have heard a lot of hype about Ethan Hood Ethan Hood Ethan Hood 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB St James Performance Academy | 2030 VA , now that is set to attend our showcase and play for St James looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. Looking at his work during the 7v7s, Hood has a calming presence under center and looks like a veteran throwing the ball.

Ethan Hood Ethan Hood Ethan Hood 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB St James Performance Academy | 2030 VA is Representing the class of 2030! He is 6’1 175 at quarterback and that is a good size for him already. This kid is special and there is no denying it. He showcased that he could read coverages well and can get the ball to where only his players can get it and also showed that he has an arm on him. Yes, he is young and coming out of 2030 but that’s what make this kid a very interesting prospect because if he can do all this now and he barely scratched the surface I can’t wait to see him put it all together over the years and become one of if not the best quarterback coming out of the class 2030. Ethan has a lot of Upside and the Celine is high for him.
