In the two looks I got of Cole Hampel he showed the full spectrum of extremes for his play. The first look was Hampel working through his mechanics. He threw a ball that sunk a bit, likely a product of it getting out of his hand late on the follow through. However, once competition revved up it was as if Hampel got in the full swing of things. Throwing one of the more impressive balls I took note of, Hampel had the pigskin slicing and gliding through limbs and bodies, dancing its way through,, reminiscent of Joe Montana’s throw to Dwight Clark in the 1981 NFC Championship game.

I can see why my PA colleagues were high on him previously, this kid has a ton of potential. He competed with some of the best of the nation and held up well, I agree with what Coach Josey said about him in May his upside is very noteworthy. Hampel overall testing numbers were solid but his broad jump of 9’6 ranked 3rd out of 135 prospects!

Cole Hampel, you want to talk about a kid who can ball, he can ball. Hampel is bringing his talent from Pennsylvania to New Jersey for the “RIZE” to showcase his abilities at the quarterback position. He’s a guy who is an athlete so he can run it at safety too. He is an awesome player and I look forward to hearing what he does at this big event!

His film shows a smooth throwing motion and the ability to deliver accurate passes downfield. He demonstrates good touch on intermediate and deep throws, allowing receivers to make plays in stride. Hampel shows composure in the pocket, standing tall and working through his reads. His size gives him a strong presence and the ability to see over defenses. He also flashes the ability to extend plays when necessary, adding mobility to his skill set. As an underclassman, his upside is especially noteworthy as he continues to develop physically and mentally. Hampel is a high-ceiling quarterback prospect who will be one to watch in the coming years.
