The Rize: Scouting Notebook on Quarterbacks, Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday, June 27, 2026 Prep Redzone Next was back-in-action in Jackson, New Jersey, as they hosted "The Rize." A double-session prospect showcase, this event drew middle school prospects from all across the country to see how they stacked up against their national counterparts. Each prospect was personally hand-selected by middle school guru <a href="https://x.com/AlPopsFootball">Al Pops</a> to compete and attend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As per usual, I attended and report to you my positional notes for the position group referenced in the title of this article. In one of the first reps I saw a quarterback take, Marchetti's target was not open and covered well. What he then decided to do was to make a play happen. I watched as Marchetti threw the ball at his covered target in such a way that he had to work back to the ball and was interfered with. In what was one of the most picturesque throws on the day, Hlywak threw a absolute beautiful goal line fade that was soft, quick, and between the back of the endzone and his defender, in a place where only his target could have played it. Vetter transferred his weight extremely well. This led to strong, accurate throws. Brother of Penn State commit Will Wood, Ben showed much promise. A lefty, one thing I want to see him do a bit more of is push the ball out to the sideline a bit more, especially when going vertical. Doing so will prevent safeties from coming over the top to play the ball. Aside from looking like a lineman, Holloway had one of the most attractive throwing motions and deliveries at camp. Coming over the top, Holloway threw strikes to all corners of the field.
