Five New Defensive Additions To Ohio’s 2028 Rankings

Putting up strong junior film is of upmost importance. Today I take a look at 5 new additions to our latest 2028 rankings update. In this article I'll be highlighting players from all 3 levels of the defense. These players with strong junior film will have a chance to rise up our rankings. His get-off gives him a big advantage as he's able to beat the opposing blockers and shoot the gap. Jonathan shows active hands and the ability to shed. For me his versatility is one of his most valuable traits. Whether it's in coverage, playing versus the run, or blitzing he makes plays. He's decisive and quick and his read and react. When defending the run, he squares up the ball carrier and he's violent. When he hits guys, they go backwards. He's a big-bodied space-eater. He plays with good pad level and has a good anchor. After initial contact he plays with a good motor. He does a great job of pursuing the ball down the line or up field. He trusts his speed and athleticism. He has a smooth back pedal and fluid hips in his turn and run. Ro'Sohn does a great job of tracking the ball. He has good body control and uses his length and hands to make the play on the ball rather than the man. He does a great job of staying in the hip pocket of the receiver. On offense he plays wide receiver and cornerback on defense. At cornerback is where I like him most. You can tell he has a great feel for playing the position. He plays with quick feet and has a great transition from back pedal to run. In his film there's an interception where he shows of great ball skills by going up and high pointing the ball over the top of the receiver for the interception.
