Under-the-Radar Prospects Looking For Big Breakout Seasons

There aren't many camps and not many games to attend right now, but that doesn't mean we at Prep Redzone are sitting on our hands. On the contrary, we are hard at work. All throughout the summer, we'll be taking a look at some top returning starters and young prospects who will make a big impact as the season rolls around this fall, spotlighting several prospects. Here is our summer scouting notebook featuring four under-the-radar prospects looking for big seasons ahead.    Xavier Wilson for Westerville North is a strong and tough run blocker who runs his feet on contact, flashes a solid first step and plays with adequate bend to create vertical push. Wilson also fires forward nicely to the second level and finds linebackers to hit. He picks up on twists and stunts nicely in pass pro. Solid use of hands, effort, and works to the whistle. Great size and strength at 6-foot-4, 270 pounds.     Jake LaBahn is an interesting quarterback to keep an eye on, and plays for Strongsville High School. LaBahn, trained by QB guru Brad Maendler, has a solid release and throws with good timing and touch. LaBahn has enough mobility to be a threat with his legs. He is also effective when throwing on the move. With Maendler's tutelage, he could blossom into a top prospect in the Class of 2029.     We haven't yet seen any tape of Cardinal Mooney High School wide receiver/athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1758593' first='Gavin' last='Sentner'] yet, but evidently his college day workout and practice was enough for Louisville coach Vince Marrow - who is a widely-respected recruiter in Ohio - to offer the 6-foot-2, 185-pound class of 2029 prospect. Sentner will be a must-know name in Ohio. We look forward to watching his tape this coming season, and beyond.     [player_tooltip player_id='2178768' first='Landen' last='Brown'] is a very under-the-radar defensive tackle for Piqua with a great first step and a nose for the ball. Brown is explosive, wins on his first step, plays with good bend and leverage, and consistently finds ways to wreck havoc on opposing QBs and RBs. At 6-foot-3, 285 pounds, the Class of 2028 defensive tackle is a force on Piqua's defense.
