2028 Rankings Release: Our New Top 5 Quarterbacks

The 2028 rankings are here! We had shakeups across every position, including our gunslingers! Below are the top 5 QBs in our class of 2028.    A lot has changed in our rankings, but Tabron continues to be the constant at the front of the field. What is there to say at this point that hasn't already been said? He has all of the arm talent in the world, paired with great football IQ and clean mechanics. He plays elite competition year in and year out and performs far beyond what you'd expect from an underclassman. He brings a calm and mature presence to the pocket and doesn't panic or force things that aren't there. If his elite status as a passer isn't enough, he has the ability to escape and deal legitimate damage with his legs when the opportunity is there. Tabron is a blue-chipper for a reason and will continue to lead the pack in this class.     The Divine Child Lefty did exactly what he set out to do in 2025, but has his sights on more in 2026. Drew thrives both in the pocket and throwing on the move, and his accuracy doesn't dip a bit when he has to improvise. There isn't a throw that Sheridan doesn't execute consistently at a high level. He throws an exceptional deep ball with touch and velocity, while also being great at anticipating windows, throwing his guys open and hitting his receivers on short routes with perfect timing. Drew continues to raise his stock and has put himself squarely on the radar of a number of FBS programs.     Brayden has absolutely blown up over the last year, and unsurprisingly, that has garnered a ton of attention and some P4 offers to boot. I included him in an <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/04/breakout-potential-in-northern-michigan/">article back in the spring</a> about Northern Michigan prospects that could breakout in 2026, but I'll be honest, I didn't realize he would blow up quite like this! Tillman stands tall in the pocket and reads the field well. He makes quick and confident decisions quickly, and has the pure arm talent to make any throw. Whether it be a ball layered behind the linebackers or putting zip on an out route, or even a huge bomb down the sideline, he does it all beautifully. 10 FBS teams have already come knocking, with more on the horizon. MASSIVE stock bump for Tillman heading into the fall!     From the time I first saw him until now, Odin might be one of the most improved and hardest working QBs I have ever scouted. He has gone from a raw freshman with tons to learn to a polished and well-rounded QB with a ton to offer. He possesses a great frame, superior arm talent and the leadership qualities you hope your QB would display. He has put a ton of work into his mechanics and tweaking his release, and it has paid dividends already. Absolutely deserving of being a top 5 QB in this class, and the climb is certainly not over!     As soon as the game started to slow down for Grayson and he got more comfortable in his role, you could see the light come on for the De La Salle QB. The frame work was always there. He has a big arm with clean and concise mechanics with no wasted movement. He manipulates the pocket well and understands how to feel pressure and avoid it while still keeping his eyes downfield. He has really started to read the field well and understands good decision making and taking what the defense gives him. I am projecting a big step in production in 2026!
