2028 AL Prospects Ready to Shake Up Rankings

While ripping through hundreds of prospects, I stumbled across several who could be the culprit of major shakeups in future updates, and here are just a few of many guys who fit that billing.    It's been a big offseason for Price, who has seen his recruitment balloon. He has emerged as a legitimate P4 prospect with several offers under his belt. Price is a threat at each level of the field with impressive twitch and deception at critical parts of the route. He is capable of separating as a route runner and working over the middle of the field, which is where I think he'll make his money at the next level. His floor is high, and I expect him to hold steady as a premier WR prospect in AL following this update.     Consider me intrigued with [player_tooltip player_id='1330152' first='Kamryn' last='Foster'], who is still creeping onto the radar. He is a true mismatch, standing at 6'3 and packed into that frame with a strong 195 pounds. He is a smooth basketball athlete who plays with a physical edge, both as a blocker and a pass catcher. There are several receivers at his size in this class, but I love how he attacks the ball in the air and controls his body, which is where he sticks out to me.     Jackson is set to take a massive step forward in our rankings and debut as a premier blocker in Alabama. Here is a snippet of a previous eval:   "Jackson is a truly impressive raw blend of size, speed, and power. He is a violent player who seeks out contact and plays through the echo of the whistle while staying engaged with ball carriers. He will go for the kill shot on smaller defenders, and he has the athleticism to reach them efficiently. Jackson will likely play on the interior, where he can use his physical brand of football on a snap-in, snap-out basis."     Mostella is set to debut in our rankings, and there is a lot to like after watching his tape. In fact, I think he has a chance to emerge as a P4 prospect. He is a 3 sport athlete, doubling as a basketball player and a wrestler. He is an athletic player who can handle tackle responsibilities. His ability to move really shines when he gets out in space. I love the flashes of violence; he closes hard on defenders and doesn't play passively at all at the point of attack, regardless of whether he is throwing punches or just tossing himself into blockers. Again, I think there's a solid chance he emerges as a P4 prospect.     I would keep a close eye on Lyles, who I think has a real shot to hold steady as a premier pass rusher in Alabama. He is listed at 6'2 230, but has the length that makes him look even bigger. He is an easy eval and possesses everything you want in a pass rusher: An explosive first step, bend, closing speed, and a hot motor. I am intrigued to watch Lyles develop, and I expect him to be one of the most disruptive players in this class.     Hill is coming off a productive sophomore season and impressed me when I turned on the tape. Hill is a long, rangy athlete with impressive quickness off the line, which sets up the rest of the game. He bends well and has the speed in space to chase the ball. He is raw, so as everything ties together, I expect Hill to find more confidence and ultimately take his game to another level. I think this is one of the more underrated 2028 prospects in Alabama.     A popular trend I am finding so far in AL's 2028 class is a crop of overlooked EDGE prospects, at least for now. Similar to Hill, there is so much to be bullish on when you watch Roberts. He is listed at 6'2, but looks and plays even bigger, which you can attribute to his length and leggy build. He is a raw athlete, but his acceleration to contact and sheer speed are extremely impressive. There's a lot to harness here, and he has the tools to shake things up as he develops.     Walton is one of my favorite sub-6'0 receivers in AL. He is a stout, explosive player who is built with a low center of gravity, almost like an RB. His suddenness is impressive, which he uses to separate both before and after the catch. His ability to overwhelm defenders with his footwork and maintain speed through cuts allows him to separate and work all over the field at a high level, especially for his size.     On the topic of receivers, Nicks has every tool to hold steady as a top receiver in the 2028 class, and the college attention adds more validation to that claim. Nicks is a truly elite playmaker who can impact each level of the field, but is best with the ball in his hands. He is a long strider who holds his speed through changes of direction. He also squeezes the most out of each rep and fights hard to stay upright. I think he will stick at WR long term, but he could be seen as an ATH. Regardless, this kid is a threat to score from any spot on the field.
