2027s Who Will 2X Their Production From 2025

We are going to look back on the 2025 season and identify my top choices for athletes who are entering a position where they could see their production from last year to this year double. This type of opportunity arises from the perfect storm of situations. The athlete needs the chance for a clear increase in production, and his supporting staff needs to also be in position to get him the help he needs to produce at this new level. Of course the athlete needs to have the talent to make this type of jump as well. Through my research I have been able to find several athletes who are in a great spot to boost, or double, their production from 2025. So let's shine the spotlight on them as we continue to prepare ourselves for the 2026 season! The series starts with 2027s who are in a great spot to accomplish this feat!    This Altoona roster has grown and developed into a talented group. Their Class of 2027 is made up of several college recruits. Most exciting is that we could be on the doorstep of some breakout seasons for some of those athletes. One such athlete being [player_tooltip player_id='2235683' first='Ryan' last='Kuenkel'], the team's RB. Ryan finished 2025 with 45/268/3 in 2025, making him a perfect candidate for this article.   I have the utmost confidence that Ryan can double every one of those numbers in 2026. The 6' 205 lbs incoming senior is built to handle a larger workload and that is perfect because the team's top two 2025 rushers both graduated. It looks like it is his time to take over a large workload. The physical tools are there to shine on Friday nights. 4.5 40 speed, and a powerful lower body to win with physical running and sudden burst. Altoona's roster is one I hope to get an in-person look at this fall. I have rising expectations the more I look into Ryan and the rest of the team.     A team that looks like will be improved this fall is Kettle Moraine. They return their leading rusher, multiple top defenders, and their top duo in the receiving category. That starting RB, [player_tooltip player_id='2114447' first='Nico' last='Yttre'], is the focus in this article. In 2025 the 2027 RB put up 95/572/4, and I believe the tools are there to double those numbers.   Nico has a prototypical frame for a starting RB at the HS level. The tape shows that he is an athlete who can effectively run between the tackles. We see a lot of his highlights stem from his explosive acceleration, flying through gaps before the defense can swarm him. The 2027 RB also has enough long speed to pull away in the open field. I believe game script will be more in the team's favor this fall, allowing him to touch the ball more often than he did in 2025. I'm anticipating 1,000 yards for Nico this fall.     I'm fired up to watch [player_tooltip player_id='1620354' first='Charlie' last='Burke'] step up into the WR1 role for the Wildcats. In 2025 we saw Charlie miss 8 games due to injury, yet he still put up 17/283/2. That is going to be just the tip of the iceberg in 2026.   Charlie brings a lot to the field on the athletic side of the WR position. He is quick off the line, explosive in and out of breaks, and he can fly when stretching the field vertically. Burke is built to be a walking highlight reel at the HS level. The only reservation I have is that the offense will have a new QB1, but we were able to get eyes on that future QB1 at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp this summer, and I'm confident we won't see a massive falloff. I'm going to be looking for Burke to 3X his numbers, not just 2X.     Eli is going to be a big piece of the Mt. Horeb success this fall. He is a two way athlete for the Vikings in 2025 and is expected to return to those roles this fall. The role I believe we see him chase a 2X production is with his impact as RB. Eli is coming off of 95/658/11 in 2025 as the RB2 for the Vikings. This fall it should be his job.   The Vikings will also be leaning on a new QB1, so I'm expecting the run game to be utilized early and often every Friday night. The 2027 RB dominates with his physicality. His 5'11" 185 lbs frame is equipped with outstanding contact balance and power. His highlights are loaded up with him breaking tackles and creating huge plays after contact. Expect him to wear down defenses and be able to get stronger as games go on. Hopes are high for 1,000+ yards from the RB/LB.     Kaeson was already on pace for a big time season in 2025, averaging over 100 yards/game before getting injured six games into the season. In that time the 2027 RB had piled up 121/636/7 on the ground in 2025. It is clear that Kaeson is back and better than ever after watching him at camp this summer.   Kaeson has a fantastic frame that is well filled out from weight room dedication. That strength flashes over and over, whether it be lowering his shoulder or throwing a devastating stiff arm. The 2027 RB is a patient runner who can one cut and get up field in a hurry. He has the vision and instincts to perfectly pair with his patience, and a clear trust in his own athleticism to be able to hit small seams and turn them into big chunks of yardage. I'm very excited to watch him try and double what he did in 2025 and believe he can do just that.     I'm fired up for the potential breakout year from the 2027 RB out of Appleton North. The 5'9 "180 lbs RB was the team's leading rusher in 2025 where he finished with 122/473/3. That could be just the tip of the iceberg in 2026. A key factor is that Darcel will be running behind a massive and talented OL that features 3 incoming seniors who are surefire next level recruits.   On top of the supporting cast, Darcel also has the tools necessary to attempt doubling his junior production. Darcel has a stout frame that has shown it can take a hit and keep gaining ground. Darcel is shifty through traffic, has explosive agility to elude and can hit that second gear in space. Appleton North always seems to be a team willing to play physical and I expect more of that this fall.     I'm a big fan of the talented WR out of Mukwonago and believe we could see him finish his HS career with a season to remember. [player_tooltip player_id='1226889' first='Max' last='Baehman'] is one of the more naturally talented WRs in the Class of 2027. He is coming off a First Team All Conference season in 2025 so it will be no easy feat to double his production of 41/437/7 this fall. However, he returns his QB this fall and the supporting cast of receiving threats are far more inexperienced.   So I'm expecting to see the Mukwonago QB lean on the explosive WR. I also expect to see Max use his physical tools to improve his numbers. Max has a lot of WR1 tools. He has the frame, hands, ball tracking skills, and is able to create separation in a variety of ways. All necessary tools for a WR looking to put together an unforgettable season. I have high hopes that a breakout season will earn him several offers that his talent is deserving of. Don't miss out on this kid.     Middleton is an offense that is has proven over and over that they are going to lean on the passing game, but they have also been able to produce talent in the backfield that can help keep defenses honest. They will be looking for a new RB1 this fall, opening the door for [player_tooltip player_id='2253964' first='Derion' last='Hawkins'] to step up and double his 2025 production. 39/261/4 are the numbers from that 2025 season.   Doubling his numbers would put him on par with last year's RB1 production for the Cardinals. Derion seems to have the talent to do the job. He is a smooth athlete and because of the fluid mobility his athleticism is deceiving. The '27 RB has flashes of being a slippery tackle as well. It will be interesting to see if he can take the job and produce at a high level this fall.     [player_tooltip player_id='2253973' first='Bo' last='Davis'], W-B's starting QB, is in position for a huge season. The dual threat athlete could double his passing or rushing production from 2025, but my bet is going to be on his rushing numbers. That should tell you how impressive Bo is as an athlete because as a junior he put up 111/523/4. So Davis will need to be approaching 1,000 yards rushing to threaten this goal.   When I turn on the tape it gives me confidence he can get it done. Bo brings 4.66 40 speed to the field and the acceleration burst to be able to get to that top speed by the time he hits the hole. Bo brings the vision of an RB to the field as well and looks more like an RB or WR than a QB when he decides to keep it himself. The team will be working in a new RB1 too, so I won't be surprised to see him leaned on early and often this fall. W-B always seems to have a couple impressive athletes and [player_tooltip player_id='2253973' first='Bo' last='Davis'] leads the way for their group of 2027 athletes.
