I’m fired up to watch Charlie Burke Charlie Burke 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR/ATH River Falls | 2027 State WI step up into the WR1 role for the Wildcats. In 2025 we saw Charlie miss 8 games due to injury, yet he still put up 17/283/2. That is going to be just the tip of the iceberg in 2026.

Charlie brings a lot to the field on the athletic side of the WR position. He is quick off the line, explosive in and out of breaks, and he can fly when stretching the field vertically. Burke is built to be a walking highlight reel at the HS level. The only reservation I have is that the offense will have a new QB1, but we were able to get eyes on that future QB1 at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp this summer, and I’m confident we won’t see a massive falloff. I’m going to be looking for Burke to 3X his numbers, not just 2X.

Based on PrepRedzone’s experience at the NDSU FBS Prospect Camp up in Fargo, River Falls High School’s football program has the chance to really put up some points in 2026. Rising senior Charlie Burke is a name already well known to PRZ, in large part thanks to a blazing 4.41 40 at a PRZMN Showcase back in December, and he was showing off that rare speed, explosiveness, and playmaking ability well in Fargo at the Bison’s first-ever FBS Prospect Camp. Burke was running some high-quality routes during 1v1s, and he looked impressively twitchy at the top of the route and was consistently beating cornerbacks and safeties over the top and vertically. This dude is a playmaker.

Charlie has been biding his time and contributing whenever he gets the chance in anticipation for moving into the WR1 role for the River Falls offense. Charlie’s offseasons have been filled with verifications of his elite speed and overall athleticism. Athleticism that has carried over to the football field. In 2025 the 2027 WR posted 17/283/2 and among those 17 catches were so many examples of how much of a mismatch Charlie can be.

Over and over this kid is 10+ yards behind the defense waiting for the football. You can’t press him with the speed he has and if you don’t have someone assigned to stay over the top of him the 2027 is going to get lost behind the secondary. Give him that cushion and he will instead beat you with the quick passing game and his elusive running through traffic. Charlie is going to show this season that it is hard to find one way to slow him down and contain him. Check out the highlights.

The ’27 WR has excellent tape that illustrate the building blocks of a very well balanced receiving threat. The speed is there to rip the top off the defense. He also has the vision, agility, and acceleration to dominate in the quick pass and screen game. Charlie is a playmaker out wide that creates mismatches in a variety of ways. The exciting part is that Charlie is just scratching the surface on all that raw athleticism. People should be excited about this kid’s future.
