This Altoona roster has grown and developed into a talented group. Their Class of 2027 is made up of several college recruits. Most exciting is that we could be on the doorstep of some breakout seasons for some of those athletes. One such athlete being Ryan Kuenkel Ryan Kuenkel 6'0" | RB Altoona | 2027 WI , the team’s RB. Ryan finished 2025 with 45/268/3 in 2025, making him a perfect candidate for this article.

I have the utmost confidence that Ryan can double every one of those numbers in 2026. The 6′ 205 lbs incoming senior is built to handle a larger workload and that is perfect because the team’s top two 2025 rushers both graduated. It looks like it is his time to take over a large workload. The physical tools are there to shine on Friday nights. 4.5 40 speed, and a powerful lower body to win with physical running and sudden burst. Altoona’s roster is one I hope to get an in-person look at this fall. I have rising expectations the more I look into Ryan and the rest of the team.
