I have high hopes for Max’s 2026 camp cycle. The 6’2″ 190 lbs WR has the size and abilities to develop into a future WR1 at the next level. That frame compared with a reported 4.5 40 should turn a lot of heads at any combine he attends, but the real fun will begin during 1 on 1s. Max’s highlights show a kid that can win with pure speed whether it be the vertical passing game or jet sweeps to stretch the defense laterally. When he isn’t winning with pure athletic traits, Max also has the ability to make DBs bite on his fakes and route running. Max’s ability to track the ball and make the difficult concentration catches in traffic should also impress coaches this summer too. Watch the highlights below and make sure to try and see Max work in person.

Max has bided his time as an underclassman, and now in his first year as an upperclassman has broken out. He led the team with 41 receptions, and 7 TDs, and was second with 437 yards. There are a lot of raw tools to fall in love with when it comes to Max. A larger frame for the position while playing with elite speed. The highlights show a kid that can win vertically or stretch the field laterally then vertically. He does it in the toughest conference in WI too. The vertical threat also flashes some very effective route running. There is some savviness to it with head fakes and Max does really well off double moves. The 2027 WR has been a playmaker I have anxiously waited to see on tape and we finally got to see it. Take a look for yourselves.

It looks like we were a year ahead when it comes to Max. We thought he could breakout last year, but Mukwonago had plenty of older receivers ahead of him. With those athletes graduating the only kids who return with a reception to their name from 2024 is a TE and RB. So the WR position should be wide open for a big framed, strong, and explosive incoming junior. Max has flashed dominance at the lower levels, and with two years under his belt making plays at that level it seems like a natural fit for him to make the jump to Friday nights. I’m excited for him to have this opportunity and hope to see him become a go to weapon for Mukwonago.

Arguably the widest door of opportunity is right in front of our current WR1 for the Class of 2027. Mukwonago returns a TE and an RB that have caught at least one pass in 2024. The other 75+ receptions will all be graduating this summer. So the door is wide open for Max to win a starting job. The sophomore definitely has the talent to do so. He has the frame of a go-to WR. He dominated as a vertical threat on the JV team. Max is a natural at finding and tracking the ball downfield. Plus his strong hands and timing to attack the ball at the high point were far superior to his competition. Most importantly, the sophomore looks like he has the talent to be able to win athletically as well. Get your eyes on this kid!

We wrap up with the only athlete in this article who didn’t play on varsity in 2024. Yet the talented WR out of Mukwonago still needs to be included in this topic. Max’s time will come on Friday nights, and I have a feeling this summer he is going to show that the time is now. In 2024 Max did what a top talent has to do vs lower level competition. Dominate. You see him get deep, soar over DBs to high point the ball, make strong catches through traffic. All things that if he can show vs top DBs at camps will very quickly turn the right eyes towards him. Max is a very smooth athlete too who can flip a switch and make defenders miss 1 on 1 or lower his shoulder and rip through arm tackle attempts. I’m very excited to see Baehman vs more competition this summer and into the fall. A breakout year is in the near future.

Max is right in line with Brock when you watch his tape. The dude towers over most of the field at 6’2″ 180 lbs. It is one thing to just be bigger. That only lasts so long because the crowd will catch up. Where these kids, like Max, are special is the full package they bring with that size. On offense, Max is showing the speed and quickness to stack CBs on deep passes. He is making effective route breaks to open up separation. The ’27 is attacking the ball in the air and easily adjusting to it on the fly. On defense Baehman is showing quick play recognition and an aggressive trigger to attack downhill. Mukwonago always has a deep roster, so it may be hard for the sophomore to find a role on varsity. At the same time, he does have the talent level where I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on Friday nights.

Max was all over the field in his freshman season. We saw him at WR, safety, and QB with success at all of them. At the safety position we see Max’s instincts stand out from the crowd. He reads the QB and routes very well and then has the range to bait and jump routes. At WR we see the overall athleticism take over and win matchups. He can get deep with pure speed, stack the DB, and reel in passes. Or he can show off the short area burst coming out of cuts in his route. Max’s size also stands out from the crowd, usually the biggest athlete in the secondary compared to other JV athletes. I’m excited to see him this fall and see if he can carve out some action on Friday nights.
