However, the majority take place in the month of June so we are going to take some time over these next few articles to look back on this month and identify the athletes who truly stood out from the crowd. The athletes who put on a show and maximized their camp experience. Whether it be putting themselves on the map of PRZ WI or college staff, or earning offers and beginning the process of finding where their next home is. Our focus today is that first group. The athletes who surprised us or seemed to come out of nowhere and are now locked onto our radar. The athletes who had us scouts flipping through our Player Packets or doing Hudl scouting after camp clips would be posted asking "Who do we have here?!"...

This was an in-person find for myself this June. Billy attended the Whitewater OL/DL session of their camp in early June and PRZ WI was there to cover it. While looking back through results I came across a 2029 that stood out from the crowd. He was quick off the snap, and violent and active with his hands. That hand use and well developed strength allowed him to win a ton of 1v1 reps. That sent me to the tape and there we saw more of the same from his freshman season. The 220 lbs athlete already is playing on nimble feet that get him through gaps in a hurry and with an offseason of development and competition under his belt I have high hopes for what he contribute on Friday nights for Wilmot this fall. Billy is definitely on our radars here after he had us asking "What do we have here?" during the Whitewater camp.

Jaiden was a new find via Twitter/X. The 2028 OL out of Wisconsin Lutheran is a mammoth of a prospect. He checks in at 6'4" 345 lbs. The big man doesn't have any film from last season, but my attention was grabbed while scrolling through some clips from his training. The big fella was light on his feet, quickly getting depth to run a speed rusher around the QB. Anchor strength was unquestionable in those clips also. No doubt that when pads are on Jaiden will be able to absorb a ton of contact to stuff any bull rush attempts. To see a kid this size flash the ability to move like him definitely has me excited to see what he can do in the trenches this fall for a really solid Wisconsin Lutheran team.

This was not a personal find of mine. This one hit my radar via our Prep Redzone Midwest Director of Scouting Oliver West. Oliver crossed paths with Reid out at NDSU and came away very impressed, filling me in on the standout athlete during the Minnesconsin Mega Camp. That sent me hunting for tape to find out what we had here. The results are we have something special. Reid is a 6'5" 210+ lbs TE/LB/DL out of Osceola. The two way impact player possesses elite length to go along with that prototypical frame. The edge defender has some exciting clips from his 2025 season. He was used to rush and set the edge, but they would also drop the massive OLB into coverage where he could not only use his wingspan to bat balls down, but also grab an INT. Don't let this kid surprise you. The breakout season is coming this fall on an Osceola team that has quite a bit of talent.

Another 2028 who hit my radar via Twitter/X was Neenah CB [player_tooltip player_id='2237933' first='Owen' last='Fox']. You can predict my excitement when I came across a CB with a legitimate 6'3" frame. One that as a sophomore was able to turn in a 1st Team All Conference season on the back of 43 tackles and 2 INTs. This offseason he has continued to pile up verification of his high level talent with numbers like a 4.66 40, 10" broad jump, and a 4.19 shuttle. Only thing left to check out was the tape, and that was the most impressive part of everything we found. Owen plays a lot of zone coverage where he can read and react and let those next level athletic tools shine. He is quick to read and react, triggering and closing quickly on the football. He shows great awareness for who is entering and leaving his zones and he has the ball skills to create big plays when he gets to the catch point. Also very worth noting that the long CB is not afraid to tackle in the open field. Get this CB on your radars today. He definitely has a future at the next level.

Alex hit the PRZ WI radar during the Eau Claire Big Man Camp. The 2028 was grouped with the athletes his age and it is safe to say the 6'7" 230 lbs 2028 OL stood out from the crowd. The Waunakee OT has rare length with an equally impressive 6'7" wingspan. Paired with that long, lean frame that is ready to the weight to start packing on are college worthy feet. Alex has the tape showing that he can be out on an island at OT and mirror pass rushers with how light he is on his feet. Plus we see that he is able to generate the force needed to be a bully in the trenches in the run game, giving me belief he has a very high ceiling as he continues to fill out and reach new strength levels. I'm excited to see how he debuts in the 2028 rankings this summer.

Carson was an athlete who we knew of, but as you see he was on our Watch List as we waited for some tape to break down. We didn't have to wait until the season, though. Instead, Carson has been active this spring and summer. We were able to get multiple looks at the impressive RB out of Monona Grove. We have seen the 6'1" 200+ lbs 2028 run a 4.69 40, 4.34 shuttle, and broad jump 9'8". During his camp tour Carson has shown that he can be a legitimate three down back with the ability to not only tote the rock, but catch out of the backfield, and step up and pick up blitzing LBs. I'm predicting a breakout season for the Monona Grove RB as he finds his role in what should be a productive offense.

Traeven really hit my radar while looking through the hundreds of results from the Lake Show Mega Camp in early June. The Oshkosh West 2029 WR hit the ground running at the Lake Show posting 4.62 40, 4.62 shuttle, 7.51 L-Drill, 9' broad jump, and a 33.6" vertical jump. A great base of explosive athleticism for the incoming sophomore to build upon over the next three years. After uncovering the numbers I went to the tape. Tape that shows Seely being a legitimate mismatch vs athletes his age. He won with speed vertically, made tough catches in traffic, and was a consistent big play threat for his team. His gifts were also highlighted on kick returns. I'm excited to watch this season's highlights that Traeven puts out.

Another incoming sophomore who hit my radar via the Lake Show Mega Camp this month was St. Thomas More's [player_tooltip player_id='2237956' first='Hank' last='Radomski'], a 6'1" 265 lbs DL. In his first high school offseason the DL looked right at home in padded 1v1s. Violent and quick out of his stance. Hands that constantly were working to gain position and keep himself clean, a powerful base that could collapse the pocket, and the awareness to understand when he should move on to a secondary move while battling in 1v1s. The big man has the size and tools to be well worth having on your 2029 recruiting boards today.
