Sitting amongst the top of our list amongst the 2027 Minnesota and Dakotas quarterbacks was Robbinsdale Cooper's [player_tooltip player_id='1096597' first='Beckham' last='Vanvoorst']. He's one that the college coaches I have talked to could see on either side of the ball but in Grand Forks on Thursday afternoon, Beckham showed off as one of the better deep-ball arms that I got to watch. Not only was Beckham unleashing all of his arm strength, I felt that he took a step forward from my last live eval as far as his ball-placement with those deeper throws. He's picked up a couple D2 offers since mid-May and is one that I feel his stock is still progressing this summer at that level as the athleticism factor shoots a lot of position flexibility for Beckham at the next-level

The last time I got our live eval on Logan, it was at the Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase this spring as the quick growth Logan brought in the quarterback group at the UND Flagship Camp surely caught my attention even further here at the end of June. The nearly 6'4 181 pounder showed off a nearly 6'6 wingspan and ran a 4.66 40-yard dash with all that size at his disposal in Grand Forks. He's one that showed the flexibility he has throwing from the pocket or utilizing his legs to make throws out of the pocket as what I saw from Logan inside the pocket has surely developed since April from a poise perspective. His throws also were more dialed in from a timing perspective especially on intermediate routes. Surely a 2028 quarterback out of Grand Rapids that has growing stock!

The next quarterback in this group from the UND Flagship Camp last Thursday that continued his business as usual campaign during camp season has been Sioux Falls Washington's [player_tooltip player_id='1555919' first='Javi' last='Vazquez']. Javi has reached the point during summer camp season where the sample size of the reps I watch shows off swift production regardless of the number of reps I watch with the QB group. His bread and butter this summer skillsets wise has been the growth with his ball placement which continued to excel on all three levels in the afternoon session of the UND Flagship Camp. Those deeper routes showed off the precision you wanted to see and although his first offer hasn't come in yet, you can bet from the tracking college coaches have done this summer that they'll have a close eye on Javi come this fall.

A new name alert to our 2028 North Dakota class rang in at the second UND Flagship Camp of the summer from Bismarck St. Mary's quarterback Jake Miller. The nearly 6'2 185 pounder, showed off well-rounded athletic traits during testing with a 4.81 40-yard dash, a very impressive 31'3 in the triple jump, and a 4.66 in the pro agility. Despite being very light on the tape side from his sophomore season, what Jake shows athletically outside of the pocket is fun to watch as surely one that will get added to our 2028 board in North Dakota very soon.

The Offensive Alpha

I would like to bet across our entire network of Prep Redzone duirng camp season that there hasn't been a more explosive fullback this summer than Princeton's [player_tooltip player_id='1288296' first='Carson' last='Pruett']. The verified 6'1 237 pounder for the Tigers, ran a 4.82 40-yard dash and a 4.38 pro agility, but what he did in the live reps is what caught several college coaches attention in Grand Forks. During the RB vs. LB drills, Carson took his competiton for a ride they probably didn't want to be on with his highly physical blocking ability, not once but several times that had the "wow factor" locked in from the college coaches I watched Carson with during his reps. The excellent pad-level and leverage have continued to grow for Carson since we watched him at the RTB Gopher Camp this summer, and he surely has elevated his stock over the past couple of weeks on his recruiting trail. A workhorse of a competitor with excellent character that colleges programs are going to have a recruiting battle for here soon for next year.

A newer running back name to our 2027 Outstate radar from Warren-Alvarado-Oslo at the UND Flagship Camp was [player_tooltip player_id='1665769' first='Owen' last='Dvorak']. The 5'9 186 pounder ran a 4.79 in the 40-yard dash and a 4.63 in the pro agility in Grand Forks as one of a few RBs that caught my attention from the eye-test with his fluidity in the reps we watched and intriguing twitch with his change of direction that caught our attention most during Indy drills last Thursday. Owen ran for over 1000 rushing yards as a junior at Warren-Alvarado-Oslo, and surely has added more intriguing twitch heading into the middle of summer camps as one that surely has the skillsets in my eyes to compete on Saturdays, if you are hunting for a sleeper in your RB rooms.

You know I have watched New Rockford-Sheyenne I feel like a hawk over the past couple of years, but what you always find during camp season is a new name emerging for the Rockets, which on Thursday in Grand Forks was 2027 running back Layton Jacobson. One of the bigger backs I got an eye on the nearly 6'2 195 pounder with a 6'3.5 wingspan showed off what could be the position flexibility small school college coaches want to see for the next-level. The catch radius that Layton had with the reps I watched was persistent as a pass-catcher coming out of the one most productive programs thru the air in North Dakota 9-man football. The tape is very very light on Layton, but the TE position could be a ideal fit for this young man at thie next-level

This is the second camp in the month of June where Ada-Borup-West's [player_tooltip player_id='1648099' first='Rudy' last='Reyes'] has gotten may attention and I don't feel that this is on accident. He ran a 4.83 40-yard dash and a back to back 4.63 in the pro agility. Similar to what I saw out of Rudy at the SMSU Prospect Camp, Rudy maintained ampled tightness during Indy drills and also in the L-drill I got to watch as like I have said this summer, this kid embraces the small details that you want to see with his elusiveness he has at his disposal. He's undersized for the RB position, but Rudy could be a great small school fit in your RB room in the MIAC and UMAC.
