Spotlighting 2028 Receivers with High-Upside in the Houston Area

The talent at the receiver position is at an all-time high and the players are continuously getting better. We have guys who have stepped onto the field as sophomores and grabbed the attention from viewers all over the state with their play. The players listed below have shown what they are capable of and what the future may hold as they continue to develop into top-notch talents in the area.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    Palmer plays much bigger than his listed size, dominating matchups with strength and power. He is a dangerous threat on the deep ball where he has shown tremendous ball skills and physicality at the catch point. Palmer made numerous plays last season by exploiting single coverage and finding the soft spots in zone. He is a strong runner after the catch, breaking through tackles and maintaining his balance after contact.   For his sophomore season Palmer caught 18 passes for 521 yards and 5 touchdowns, averaging north of 28 yards per catch. He is a big-play threat with the ability to flip an outcome of a game with one play. Outstanding player with so much room to develop even more.     <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    St. Junious has shown to be a well polished receiver early in his football career, having the ideal size at 6'3 and possessing incredible hands. He has tremendous ball skills, tracking the ball in the air and displaying a large catch radius for his QB. St. Junious snags anything in his vicinity and uses his size to his advantage, out-jumping and winning on 50-50 throws. He is a mismatch on the outside versus any defender and a player who will make defenses pay for single coverage especially near the endzone.   Last season St. Junious racked up 585 yards and 5 touchdowns on 40 catches. He is capable of taking over games and being the guy when needed. The talent is clear and the future is bright for him.     <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    Fowler is a different type of athlete. He is a versatile threat who impacts the game on both sides of the ball with insane instincts. Fowler can be plugged in anywhere on the field and will make his presence felt. As a receiver he is a flat-out playmaker. Throw it up near him and he will somehow come down with the catch. He makes these ridiculous acrobatic catches and shows some of the strongest hands in the area. Fowler high points the ball incredibly well and makes contested catches look easy. His ability to make turnover-worthy plays into explosive, momentum shifting catches is something to see.   Fowler managed to total 566 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns on 43 receptions in limited action at the receiver position. Fowler is just a natural baller with the mindset of making plays whenever he touches the field. Just an incredible watch and a player who will undoubtedly continue to develop into a two-way gamechanger for his team.     <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    McNeely is a big play waiting to happen. With excellent run after the catch abilities, McNeely can turn a screen into an explosive play in a blink of an eye. He has the speed to outrun any coverage and can take the top off of a defense. McNeely can be used in a multitude of ways offensively to generate positive plays and has shown to be comfortable with the ball in his hands. He finishes plays with strength, running through arm tackles and fighting for those extra yards.   With 344 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns on 21 catches last season, McNeely proved that he is just getting started. With a new offense and talent surrounding him, McNeely is due for a productive season. Get him the ball and watch him work.     <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    Cooper flashed some quality skills last season during his sophomore campaign. From the slot he showed to be a strong route runner who can get open using tempo. He show excellent ball skills with strong hands with the ability to make difficult catches on the move. Cooper excels at finding the weak spots in zone and making himself available for his QB. He is shifty in the open field and can create big-time plays after the catch.   On the season Cooper had 42 receptions for 360 yards and 3 tuddies, proving that he is a valuable weapon for the Eagle offense. He is a player who can get open at any time and can make the decisive plays when needed. Eyes will be on Cooper and his development moving forward.
