RBs to Watch this Fall in Georgia HS Football

In the state of Georgia has a great deal of talent from all positions all across the Peach State. At this moment, I'm going to spotlight five running backs to watch. Let's take a look at some of these players who are impact players and will have MAJOR seasons this fall!

A special talent at the running back position and someone I like to consider an all-around type of back that can do multiple things out of the backfield and do multiple things with the ball in his hands is, Solomon James. James, a 2028 running back in the Peach State who I feel is one of the best backs in his class and very underrated to be honest, is going to make a major splash this season and really catch a lot of eyes. He already has but I believe it's really going to head into another level this fall. Stay tuned!

One of the best all-around backs in the state last year was Jeremy Ferguson Jr. He really put together a productive season starting as a freshman running back at a high-profile program in a big and competitive classification. This fall will be no different from a competitive classification standpoint, but Ferguson Jr. has now the experience under his belt plus he's gotten better with an entire off-season to add onto his productive freshman year. He is a back that can give you a lot in the run game and pass game. He is going to be the bell-cow back this season and I know he's poised for a big year in 2026.

It's been a strong off-season for Isiah Nalls. Nalls has shown his hard work and dedication this off-season and he's looking to continue great success on top of everything he's accomplished so far in his early career of high school football. Nalls is an outstanding player, leader and example for his team and program. I really believe this fall will be Nalls biggest season yet. He's a spectacular talent that continues to grow and showcase the great God-given abilities he has.

Tony Reid has to be one of the hardest working running backs that I have seen all off-season. This guy is constantly putting in the work and getting better at his craft. Reid is a back who is going to bring a lot of energy to his squad on Friday nights, and he brings a good mix of balance, power, agility and speed to the table that will be a tough problem for defenses to contain. Big year ahead for Reid in 2026!

Tripp Chatmon is one of the 2028s most intriguing backs and this year I believe he is going to really make a big impact with the Buford Wolves. Chatmon is a guy who can carry the rock with the best of them and give you many different looks coming out of the backfield. It's going to be a big fall for him and the Wolves of Buford.
